One-Strike-and-Out . . . for Dumb Tweets
I'm starting to think that we need a new law: "one strike and you're out" for annoying, offensive Tweets.
Case in point: Rashard Mendenhall, a Pittsburgh Steelers' running back who describes himself as an "athlete" and "conversationalist". He also sees the world -- and the 9/11 attacks -- much like Charlie Sheen and the "truther" cult.
"What kind of person celebrates death? It's amazing how people can HATE a man they have never even heard speak. We've only heard one side..."
Mendenhall didn't hold back, even making a reference to the Sept. 11 attacks.
"We'll never know what really happened. I just have a hard time believing a plane could take a skyscraper down demolition style."
Please, sir, no more Tweeting. And the next time you step on the gridiron, try wearing a helmet.

You should look on the bright side. At least, his confidence in American construction and the governments ability to prevent the leaking of National Security related information is admirable.

Note to Rashard: The plane didn't take the skyscraper down. The concentrated heat of burning jet fuel weakened part of the building's frame, and gravity took it down.

I would add that he may want to make sure he's also wearing a cup.

It is always good for crypto-cretins to break cover and publicly display their idiocy and biases. Twitter and Facebook provide an invaluable public service by enabling these people to show the world their true nature.

From a Steeler fan to a Steeler player:
Hey, Rashard, I got a little question for you. What is more likely to happen? A bunch of people getting together as a conspiracy, hijacking airplanes, putting dynamite in two buildings with not one person noticing, getting away scot-free, and placing the blame on some guy a world away OR a guy taking a few bucks on the side to fumble a ball in the Super Bowl (remind you of anyone?)?
I leave the answer up to you, Rashard . . .

While I deplore the content of his message, in a weird way, I kind of respect his sticking to his guns. You mean to tell me that Joy Behar and Whoopi (and half of the MSM) wouldn't have said the same thing had Bush ordered the Seal team in on Osama? At least this guy believes what he believes regardless of who's in charge!

Another fine intellectual product from the University of Illinois. Start with Chicago's political way of thinking, apply it to all areas of life, and trickled downstate to the minds of tens of thousands of lemming youths. Ah, the blessed realm of Illinois.

Re: One-Strike-and-Out . . . for Dumb Tweets
This is merely one more example of danger of Tweeting: immediately broadcasting to the world your immediate thoughts is designed to demonstrate the benefit of thinking before speaking. Not that this would have helped Mendenhall, as he doubled down, then tripled down on his ridiculous tweets.
Besides that I wasted my first round draft pick in last year's fantasy draft on him--sub-par season despite the Steelers making it to the Super Bowl. His tweets add insult to injury.
