Ohio Dispatch
From Ricochet friend -- and son of Toledo, Ohio -- Ed Kinsey comes this photo, from the Toledo Blade:
Ed writes:
The Toledo Blade, from blue collar northwest Ohio, is reporting the polls tied between Obama and Romney. This is unusual for them since they typically give the left side of things. This likely means that they're seeing polling showing Ohio going way Romney since their tag line is "Independent voters think GOP can change economy".
They also are endorsing Obama, which likely explains why Toledo hasn't become one iota better since I left 30 years ago and why it hasn't found another economic boom to ride since the invention of the automobile, which was their only boom time.
Let's hope for new times for Toledo.

Re: Ohio Dispatch
Lucas County (Toledo) is one of only two Ohio counties that George McGovern carried in 1972. It's always been hard core Democrat. They send Marcy Kaptur to the House for cryin' out loud.
The Blade is a very far left paper-- it had to pain them greatly to even admit that Romney has a chance.
A few weeks back Romney campaigned in Toledo while Obama went to the more Republican Wood County just to the south. It seemed a bit curious at the time that Romney would spend time in Lucas County.
There are approximately 40,000 fewer people living in Lucas County than back in 1972. Michael Barone has pointed out elsewhere that some Democrat strongholds in OH have far fewer voters to get out-- Cuyahoga County has lost over 400,000 in population since the '70's.
