I thought about posting on a few other things this morning (this story on Mexican medical tourism in the New York Times fails to mention the costs of regulation or liability insurance when evaluating why costs are cheaper) but I can't think about anything other than the Supreme Court.

So as we prepare for a deluge of postings* analyzing the ruling, let this be our open thread for all things Obamacare.

SCOTUSblog: whole thing upheld.  Heaven help us.

Over to you, Governor Romney.

The mandate has been upheld.  This is good news.  Obamacare now becomes the major issue in the upcoming presidential election.  The Tea Party will now pour out in droves.  Yes, this is good news.

From scotusblog:

The bottom line: the entire ACA is upheld, with the exception that the federal government's power to terminate states' Medicaid funds is narrowly read.

Parsing will take time, but this is entirely not fine by me.

The upside, if there is one, is that Romney gets a boost from this.

This is awful - Do you think Romney can be strong enough to do the right thing?

Roberts voted with the libs, not Kennedy?!!

So if they upheld it.  And if they upheld it on the grounds that it is a tax...

Bad constitutional precedent, but is that not even worse political news for Obama?

Avik Roy: Chief Justice Roberts saved Obamacare.

Bush's legacy just took an enormous hit.

I'm reading that it was 5-4. And Roberts was the deciding vote? Bizarro world.

This is a huge disappointment, that this unwieldy monstrosity was left intact. Romney gets a new issue: The huge tax imposed by Obama. Expect to see Romney jump in the polls.

I knew Kennedy would do the right thing. I never liked Roberts. I'm getting back to work now so I can pay for everyone's health insurance.

So government can tax us into compliance...someone over there is a bit light on his Robin Hood, me thinks.

This is your line in the sand.  All three branches have now abrogated their responsibility to the Constitution.  Do we roll over yet again and do nothing, or do we actually reassert our rights as the People?

OK, Obama lied. He raised our taxes.

November gives us a unique opportunity to overturn the SCOTUS for once.

Who wrote the dissent? That oughta be a fun read.
