I don't know about you, but when I heard Obama mention the dead turtles, I sat in my car and wept for a full hour. Then I collected myself, went into my office and started playing Frogger.

Frogger - how old school is THAT?

If only I could find that old news story about the California town that tried to save its turtles from homicidal drivers by installing pipes under the roads as turtle crosswalks. Those turtles that read the signs and actually used these little subways died from heat exhaustion. No air conditioning! Bureaucracy kills again.

Diane, thank you. I love that the frogs were "probably" looking for food. I guess there was a remote chance that they wanted to go to a swinging Greek nightclub across the street and dance to glamorous trance music. But "probably" they were just looking for food.
