Obama's Man Problem

With all the focus on Mitt Romney's so-called woman problem, the other side of the gender gap has been completely ignored. As resident pot stirrer Mike Murphy tweets:
How do we explain Obama's man problem?

For some reason, women are attracted to the criminal types. Especially the head of the gang.

Re: Obama's Man Problem
Dave and Jetstream have the wittier answers, so I'll just play it straight. He doesn't command respect from men (at least not from me). That's why he keeps putting his sports interests in the public eye--to be seen doing guy things--but it doesn't really work.
I was a civilian instructor at West Point for a few years, and there I met men who are natural leaders. Our current president isn't one of them.

Re: Obama's Man Problem
My man's problem with Obama is that everything the president stands for is anathema to him. But then again, my man is independent, responsible, rational, kind-hearted, and hard-working. It is no wonder that the president is out of touch with the real-life experiences of real men.

Who air brushed the training wheels out ? How would it look if he was wearing spandex like the old Kerry bike photo ?

There's a reason for that:

Hey dogs, did you see the article on Fox News about finding 20 Spitfires in Burma. For some reason they were buried in their shipping crates, so there's a possibility they are in good condition. They think there are eight more still to be located.

Re: Obama's Man Problem
Republicans don't have a woman problem. They have a single woman problem. Frankly, I'm fine with that. Married women tend to go for Republicans, singles go for Democrats. Single women are overwhelmingly liberal. Single women tend to support big government solutions to pretty much everything. Single women tend to be hostile to social conservative issues.
Of course we're not going to do well with this group, even if we sell our souls and go RINO. If it were up to most single women voters, the government would run damn near everything.

He strikes me as somebody who:
1) Has never changed a flat tire;
2) Has never cleaned a firearm after shooting one;
3) Has never been in a fight on the school playground;
4) Is in his first real job since graduating from high school;
5) Drinks Fuzzy Navels;

Re: Obama's Man Problem
While the "war on women" rages on, it seems men are, at best, ignored and, at worst, become the implicit aggressors in the offensive. With all women under attack, men, naturally, are the only remaining group that the Left can plant the smoking gun.
I have no doubt President Obama would prefer men feel left out as opposed to villified, but he cannot say 'women are being oppressed' and 'men are not oppressing' in the same sentence.
Every victim implies a villain.

Re: Obama's Man Problem
I sure did (actually I saw it on avweb.com first). I hope it's all true--that would be fantastic. Apparently they're Mark XIVs, Griffon-engined Spits. If they're really there and still slathered in cosmolene or whatever, it would be like getting brand new fighter planes from a time warp.
I thought of putting it on the Member Feed, too... OK, here it is.

The interesting thing is that the first three points probably apply to Mitt as well (I could of course be wrong.) Good thing it's Mitt vs. Obama and not Mitt vs. Ron Swanson.

Re: Obama's Man Problem
The Obama Administration is emblematic of the entire multi-generational effort by the Left to neuter manliness. The question, rephrased, is what has he done for men? He has increased dependency, stifled aspirations, subjugated the private sector, and been a constant advocate for the victim narrative. Worst still, he is a whiner. None of this should appeal to strong, free men--which, judging by the -6% figure, at least 53% of American men still are.

Re: Obama's Man Problem
Obama is the polar opposite of what "real men" did in my growing up years (the fifties and sixties).
My Dad was a quiet, hard-working, gentle farmer. He was self-reliant, uncomplaining, and a real man. He was everything that Obama isn't.

I have a friend who's very close to Mitt. Based on what he's said about Mitt, I think you're wrong on 1 and 2. He's rich, but he is not completely detached from real people.

Re: Obama's Man Problem
I have droppings from my female lab more macho than hen pecked Barry. Men are drawn to strength in an odd way. Obama has ego strength and is a smooth talker. That wears thin over time. Obama has a man issue for sure.
