Talk at a school fundraiser on Saturday night here in Los Angeles was so warmly bi-partisan. Everyone, conservative, liberal, Zoroastrian, was in total and complete agreement: Whatever you do, do not be anywhere on the roads Friday night because POTUS and wife will be here and the already disaster movie-like Friday night gridlock will look like a disaster movie in 3D. Stories of his last visit included 15 minute commutes taking two hours. And worse, Michelle comes to shop, so the POTUS couple splits the city. I guess the guy really does get more threats than the so much more hated George W. Or does he just love an entourage, like all good stars do?

He's here again on Friday? Good Lord, he's approaching Clinton-like frequency. (Well, actually, that's impossible.) Do you know who is hosting the fundraiser, Denise? My sense is that there's not the same enthusiasm here for for Obama as there was for Clinton. I wonder why?

Absolutely, Obama (pbuh) should travel more so people can experience some of the impact his presidency has on the country.

Rob, He is speaking at USC.

Oh, the hubris involved when any politician or politicians "star" spouse thinks he or she is entitled to inconvenience their "lessers" by causing traffic jams and other annoyances when they engage in activities not directly related to their office. It seems to me that forgoing the ability to do those public activities is part of the price one pays upon choosing to be involved in public life.

I refer not to the expected throngs following elections, inaugurations or wartime victory celebrations but to haircuts on the tarmac, going out to dinner in New York, vacationing abroad, and any and all fundraisers. The president of the United States fund-raising while in office seems particularly distasteful regardless of who does it.

Actually, as a sufferer of severe white guilt, I put protecting the first black president right up there with protecting us from foreign aggressors as a national priority. And, anything that will get LA's panties in a bunch around Obama sounds great to me!

Yeah, but is L.A. getting any Sonic Booms to go along with those traffic jams?

I keep tellin' ya, this election is going to come down to traffic flows. Or lack thereof.

I hope POTUS makes several more trips to CA before Nov 2 - it may help Fiorina in her attempt to unseat the lefty airhead....
