"If you hear something is happening and it hasn't happened, don't always believe what you hear" - Barack Obama
Yes, he really said that.

Re: Obama Explains His Entire Presidency in One Sentence
Remember when they told us what a great orator Obama was? Yeah, I didn't believe it then, either.
EDIT: Flashback: "Are you punch-drunk, Mr. President?"

The joke's on you, America! The emperor always was naked. Does anyone get the feeling the Obama spell is broken?

Re: Obama Explains His Entire Presidency in One Sentence
Seems the man just gave himself away in one sentence. Agree with the title of the post.... Well put.
Re: Obama Explains His Entire Presidency in One Sentence
I just watched the clip. Aside from being stupid and unintelligible, it was said in such a condescending tone. Obama pretends to be out listening to folks, but his aim is to lecture them about how dumb and gullible they are.

Re: Obama Explains His Entire Presidency in One Sentence
I have a sense that this "listening tour" is going to be a disaster for the President. I'm sure he thinks that he's going to just charm everyone. The clips I've been seeing so far show a President completely out of his element, having to face a people who are not buying what he's selling anymore.
Here in Wisconsin, farmers are potentially facing a new regulation -- that of having to get commercial drivers' licenses in order to operate their tractors on their own property. I wish that had been among the litany of regulations this farmer listed.

Re: Obama Explains His Entire Presidency in One Sentence
I suspect he prefers a Listening Tour where people are listening to him rather than the other way around.

It is too bad that is too long to put on a bumper sticker because that is truly at the heart of the problem.

Re: Obama Explains His Entire Presidency in One Sentence
He just handed the GOP their next campaign ad. Show clip of Pres. Obama saying "If you hear something's happening but it hasn't happened...", cut to clips of all the Democrats talking about the recovery summer and how the economy is coming back, and finally cut back to the rest of the quote "...don't always believe what you hear."

Re: Obama Explains His Entire Presidency in One Sentence
So, instead of the farmer being in the cab of his combine tomorrow morning, or filling out forms and permits in his office, he should be on the phone to the USDA finding out what rules and regulations are coming down the pike? It has got to be very hard for the average, hard-working, common-sense American to be respectful to the president, and it's a testament to the decency of that farmer he maintained his composure.
I sometimes despair at how hard it has become to "git 'er done" in America, but I try to remind myself there's a whole lot of potential energy stored up out there just waiting for a decent conservative leader to unleash it. Ryan 2012.

Re: Obama Explains His Entire Presidency in One Sentence
It's starting to look like beating him could very well be in the bag provided we don't nominate a gaffe machine. I see the way forward as looking to nominate the person who will get the most done to turn the ship of state instead of just looking for a person with the right party affiliation who can beat him. Perhaps there is hope.

Re: Obama Explains His Entire Presidency in One Sentence
OK, well, I did hear a couple years ago that once Obamacare got signed, people would really start to like it. Well, it was, and we don't, so can we repeal it, then, or....?
