Mitt, Paul,

hire a classicist, like Victor Davis Hansen, to edit your speeches.

In light of the events of the past few days, you have permission to go all Reagan on Obama.

Use Ann Romney more and run ads with Ryan explaining the problems with Medicare/Medicaid.

If you loose your dead to me. Just thought I should let you know...no pressure now. Just try your hardest. But, seriously don't loose. I can not stress that enough. You do what ever it takes to win this election. Don't hold back go negative. By the end of this campaign I want you to not be able to look his children in the eyes.

Use Janna Ryan to target the youth vote because she's beautiful, smart, stylish and probably very charming. She could also be very effective with the 'undecided young soccer moms.'

The events of the day are handing you the best card yet, play it over and over again . Show the pictures of the carnage and the rioting, over and over again. Wag their dog back at 'em.

Have fun, campaign hard, play the economy card, and be smart.  Don't worry too much about making Obama's administration look silly, that's their job and they're doing a fine job of it.

Mitt and Paul,

If you're reading this, you're wasting precious time. Either be making appearances to boost turn-out, do your debate homework, or sleep.

• From here in San Francisco, I actually think the "Obama let us all down" tone is spot on. I appreciate your restraint when you could so easily go over the top.

• I'd love to hear more about how the private sector works. So many people I know don't understand the basics at all.

• I'm reading Gov. Romney's biography as well as "The Real Romney" and I'm impressed. Gov. Romney, you have lived a full life and I would be honored to have you as my president.

• Gov. Romney, you were more presidential than Obama regarding the Egyptian tragedy, and I hope the country noticed.

• You have both staked your political future on repealing Obamacare. That takes guts, and I look forward to you following through on it. Woe be unto you if you don't, but I think you know that.

• I'd love it if you made your time in office as transparent as Obama promised his would be. The country would react favorably to detailed explanations of your policies, and a feeling that we're getting to know our president and vice president as people, continuing the thread started in the convention.

• Godspeed

Democrats can accomplish twice as much in half the time because they don't care about laws, rules, morals or even the most basic rights of their opponents. That's not theory. That's history. It is easier to accrue debt than to pay it down, easier to increase benefits than to scale them back, easier to create laws and bureaucratic positions than to eliminate them, easier to secure fear and anger through demonizations than to secure trust and patience through well reasoned arguments, and so on.

Unless you believe Republicans will dominate American politics without interruption for a generation, you have precious little time to accomplish a great deal. Act too gradually, and this country is doomed.

Work within the law, but be bold. Leaders shape public opinion — not the other way around.

And don't make Obama's mistake of trying to negotiate one major piece of legislation for two years. There's a lot to address. You don't have the luxury of tackling one problem at a time.

Get a little bit of Patton in you.  Hit them on all fronts, hard and fast.  Keep them back on their heels and don't give them a chance to recover.  It's good to have the heavy artillery being your big three issues, but Obama is a target-rich environment.  There is a drumbeat of bad news, amplify it and put it all on him.  He owns it and deserves to own it.  It should come from multiple parties, not just the R&R Campaign.  It's important to understand that a wash of bad news in the background, bleeding into each other, is its own big issue: it sends the message that everything is falling to pieces and Obama cannot control the situation, without being hysterical.  Then R&R demonstrate how they can handle matters: show don't tell.

A side note, Romney should do a little Gingrich, but in his own style, on the press the next time they pull what they just did (and there will be a next time); call them out on what they're doing.

When every good thing coming from Romney's mouth is either ignored, dismissed as unimportant or presented in twisted form, I don't know how a  Republican message is ever going to get to anyone not watching Foxnews.

I'd like to see Paul Ryan explaining why the dominant narratives of the media--such as the spin on Mitt's embassy statements--are clearly wrong. The media is so clearly in the tank for Obama that most people are aware of it and will be open to the truth presented by a reasonable, articulate person like Ryan. I don't think that attacking the MSM is ever breath wasted given how rampant and obvious their bias has become. They are the ones keeping the Conservative message from getting to the public, or twisting it when it can't be stifled.

For anything coming from Republican lips the lines of communication are broken and all that gets through is static. The public needs to hear repeatedly that the messenger is broken. If they can't be shamed into objectivity, at least their impact and agenda will be blunted.

Use Rahm Emmanuel and the Chicago Teachers Union: (Rule #4: make them live by their own rules).

Show the progress of charter schools--and how the charter school kids aren't being abandoned by the fat cat teachers. Use Rahm Emmanuel as the kind of Democrat you can work with--the kind of real leader who's looking to improve public finance, educate kids, and make a difference in people's lives.

But, then--draw a distinction: the way forward in America is school choice. Charter schools, vouchers, relief for the poorest families from the desperate desolation of the worst of our public schools. The solution isn't for a few--like President Obama, and Mayor Emmanuel--to send their kids to exclusive private schools like the University of Chicago Laboratory School. The solution is to give Chicago's families the freedom--and the financing--to send their children wherever they wish.

Competition is a good thing--it benefits car companies, it benefits colleges and universities, and it benefits students and their families. In America, we believe in competition--and we believe that our education system has to do better than it's doing today.

Put Mitt out front (he's getting the media attention today). Send Paul back into the TV studio--make a bunch of five-minute videos detailing how you'll change the course of the nation.

Get specific--explain the problem, explain how the Obama administration has made the problem worse, and explain how your administration will change things to get America moving.

Energy.

Public finance.

Government debt.

Mortgage financing (the Community Reinvestment Act).

Student loans, and the Bankruptcy Act.

Use the video to drive the base--and create content for social media sites that grass roots supporters can link to.

Key point: the informed voter will vote for Romney/Ryan. The MSM is doing their level best to ensure the voter is never informed--we can overcome that with YouTube, Vimeo, etc.

Unleash Newt on the MSM. Take a page from Breitbart: wind him up and send him out to recite a constant barrage of examples in which the media is blind or biased or both. Send him on Morning Joe and let him give Mika the vapors.  He is newsworthy -- he'll get covered -- especially if he is letting zingers fly. Let him be the guy who goes on Leno and Letterman and mocks them for providing a soft venue for the president to look cool. He doesn't have to look presidential and if he says anything too embarrassing, its the easiest thing in the world to distance yourself from him ("Maybe you missed the Republican primaries but...") Jon Stewart famously went on Crossfire and embarrassed the hosts for their role in lowering the national conversation -- let Newt go on Stewart and return the favor by describing how The Daily Show is singularly responsible for dumbing-down a generation. Let him be the controversial figure he naturally is and make the points that you cannot gracefully convey.

Thank you for your statements on the situation in Egypt and Libya.  American needed a spokesman and you filled the gap.  Don't pay any attention the the Main Stream Media attacks - in fact, recognize that you are fighting  a two headed opponent - the Obama administration and the Media

DISRUPTION

Accept the fact that MSM is your Al Jazerra.  Stop trying to convince them.  DISRUPT their attempts at narrative.  Go to school on when Newt attacked his inquisitors and fashion an array of counter-interrogatives that fit R&R's voice.  WIN these engagements with clear message objectives as well as DISRUPTION objectives.

BRANDING

Watch "A Time of Choosing."  Then watch the 1980 debate or nomination speech in the same manner.  Soak up Reagan's BRANDING.  Reagan's "Brand" isn't something djinned up by some ad creative.  Reagan IS his brand. It is his public Self.

Ryan has one.  Mitt doesn't. He reacts defensively when asked to about his thinking, like "its none of your business."  Yes it is.   The President governs in public.  Mitt must make the supreme effort to birth his public self.  What form that takes I don't know.  Not weepy narrative crap.  This Self is born from conflict & defiance.

ZAG

You better have a battery of ads showing Mitt's Libya statement and bloody firey chaos wrought by the Obama doctrine.  Mark Levin's right about it: Presidential.

America Needs You.

"He sucks. Try us" is not an argument. You must MAKE THE CASE that you are worthy of being elected. You cannot claim that you'll "create" 12 million new jobs without selling the details to back that up. And don't count on undecideds who haven't paid attention the past 4 years to click on links to your website to see your power point presentation. You need to dismantle their arguments while building your own. Stop playing it safe. Go big, or go home.
