I don't know who was in charge of scheduling this convention, but they chose to separate Biden's speech from Obama's with a Dick Durbin interlude. Wanting to distance Obama from Biden is totally understandable, but using Durbin to do so? Go figure.

Thank goodness there is more football on tonight, last night game was good. Also I see that 9 Bra Blowout is on SALE channel, Ovation has Four Musketeers , and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels on AXS . Ricochetti should turn to TBS at 10 EST for Sullivan and Son .

Mr. Durbin has always been one of the most determined spokespeople for the "Republicans hate minorities, women, gays and Muslims" page of the Democrat playbook, so that may be his role. But he is just so ham-fisted and inarticulate when he does it.
Maybe to stir up the base, they are using a concept from construction:
"Never force anything - just get a bigger hammer"

At the end of Biden's speech, he should announce he is leaving the Obama white house and then in strolls his replacement in order to help provide a spark and save their failing re-election.
