Nude Sparring Match in Massachusetts
Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown was today accused by the state Democratic Party of gutter campaigning. Why?
It all started in Tuesday's Democratic primary during which Elizabeth Warren took a potshot at Brown for posing for a nude photo spread for Cosmopolitan in the '80s to help pay for school. Warren contrasted herself with Brown by saying that she chose to keep her clothes on, and instead took out loans to pay tuition.
And "thank God" she did, Scott Brown fired back in a radio interview today.
"I didn't go to Harvard. I went to the school of hard knocks," Brown elaborated. "I did what I had to do, and but not for having that opportunity, I never would have been able to pay for school, and never would have gone to school, and I wouldn't probably be talking to you, so whatever."
Now Sen. Brown is being cast as a misogynistic frat boy who, according to a Mass. Democratic Party operative, is sending "a terrible message that even accomplished women who are held in the highest esteem can be laughingly dismissed based on their looks."
Remind me which candidate is running a gutter campaign?

Scott Brown will win this. Elizabeth Warren has already set it up as a struggle between the preppies and the working class -- and in Massachusetts that is a losing proposition for Democrats.

We can solve this problem immediately. Both candidates shall campaign in the nude. It's a Democracy (well not really...but) so let the people decide.

Well, Jiminy Cricket. I thought hard for a few minutes about what would make a good title, and finally settled on the one up there. Then you come along and in 2 seconds propose a superior one.

When I was a kid, I remember being out on the playground during recess when one of the girls fell into a huge mud puddle. Embarassed at her clumsiness (and the fact that she was now covered head to toe with mud), she ran to the teacher and insisted that I had pushed her in.
I always wondered what happened to little Elizabeth. Now I know.

Professor Rahe is correct. Most Americans do not have student loans and never did.
I could tell you the sorts of things I did to put myself through college and grad school, but, why bother? I may run for office someday and we'll just let that come out then.
My question is, has Warren ever paid off her student loans?

Even in Massachusetts, Scott Brown won this one. His retort after finding out about her comment at the debate was well received by the masses. At least if you listen to the radio.

Honestly, there is pretty much nothing I won't do for a pay check, unless my beloved stamps her foot and says, "No!"! And she is not as picky as you might expect. You try feeding three boyz, three dogs, three cats, and thirteen chickens, on what we bring home!
I'm taking everything I have left and putting it down on a certification class (already multiple degrees), to get in on the ground floor of a business that may be able to make some money. If I lose, I won't be able to afford my latte, anymore, However, the cats will also not get their special Urinary Tract Infection feed anymore, either.
Which will please me in a small way, as I watch the stray cat in the shed out back carry grown squirrels off to her litter.
Massachusetts has a choice to make and, really, it's not much of one.

Well she can't say Brown doesn't have skin in the game.
Now personally I'm going to send this to every artist I know in the Boston area - after all her underlying message is that nude modeling, and hence the art of the nude, is evil. Very weird, especially coming from a liberal.
I think we should put 007 on the case....
