That's cool, but my springer spaniel responds the same way when I've been gone for 2 days.

Understand the homecoming event. Have a Lab and a Jack Russel, we call it being dog mobbed when I arrive home from a few days away.
I often get bloodied due to overjoyed doggie attentions. and they are well trained.

This video tickled me almost as much as the "surprise carolers" video posted by flownover a couple of Christmases ago.

My Lab does nearly this every night when I come home from the office. He always brings a shoe too. He is ten years old now and I treasure all the time afield we have had. I am already a little sad as I see him age so fast.
A good dog is a blessing!

I love this whole genre of youtube video. There's the dog greeting solder sub-genre, the soldier surprising loved ones sub-genre, and more, I'm sure.
Here's a good one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWIw7LJamA0

That is awesome! I can only imagine how joyful Chuck made that young soldier feel, and that was before he was greeted by his wife and daughter. Thanks for sharing this story.

I wonder where that is as those look like European-style license/licence plates.
