This from Joe Biden on the campaign trail: Democrats aren't running on the administration's accomplishments like health-care, financial-regulatory overhaul, and the stimulus because "it's just too hard to explain."

Link is funky Pat -- maybe eds. can fix? I presume Joe is simply repeating what he gets told when he asks someone to explain it to him.

...even to themselves.

When the 2012 elections come around, they'll still be filling out the details.

I don't get it. Costs will continue to go up, care will be rationed, service will deteriorate. There, that wasn't so hard now, was it Joe?

Some incisive hearings in the Republican-controlled House on health care, fin-reg, simulus etc will make it clear enough -- now that they are passed we can find out what's in 'em. We can take all the time we need to provide the transparency that was promised but never delivered. Once their so-called accomplishments are "explained," I doubt they will want to run on them in 2012.

You know times are bad when the reality of national politics becomes indistinguishable from satire. It was already surreal that a known plagiarist and professional gaff factory was "second" in the presidential line of succession. Now this...

Sajak, you can't prove this comment wasn't just another of Joe's gaffs. So it's best not to make too big a deal out of this.

Translation: "You little people don't have the IQ or attention span to understand how brilliant we are! What a shame. America would be so pleasant if you just shut up let us run things."

Spoken like a genuine Mandarin of the Ruling Class.

When my mechanic tells me what's wrong with my car, I don't understand 80% of what he's saying. But I have confidence in him because what I do understand boxes with what little I know about car engines.

Would you take your car to a mechanic who couldn't be bothered to explain what was wrong with it... and/or insulted you by saying it was "too hard to explain?"
