Rev. Francis Berlanger, associate chaplain at Aquinas House, the Catholic chaplain at Dartmouth:

I don't know what tomorrow will bring, but I know Who brings tomorrow.

That's of no use to atheists, of course. But to the young men and women who turned up for the graduation mass--a little unnerved about the prospect of saying goodbye to each other, and a little on edge about finding themselves entering the worst job market in a couple of decades--it represented a nice, tight statement of the deep structure of reality.

The quote from Rev. Francis Berlanger reminds me of one of my favorite songs from when I was in college by a group named First Call. I used to sing it to myself all of the time particularly since I was pretty much on my own since I was 17 because my parents left me in the U.S. to go to college when they went back to Latin America. It was pretty terrifying to graduate from college and not have a clue as to what I'd do with my life nor parents in the U.S. to help me adjust. However, here I am. Life is great, and the struggle was well worth it.
