Mayor Bloomberg can't get the streets plowed. Then again, he does have his priorities. Comes this story reporting that the local health department now offers a new app that will allow users to find a place nearby to give them free NYC condoms. And for all you Californians who think you are on the cutting edge, these are not just any condoms, either. The NYC condom claims to be the first municipally branded condom  in the United States.

Considering their use, their branding, and their cost, I guess we can assume that Bloomberg and the City are telling people what to do. Is that suggestion or direction ? On the other hand, how much did that city spend on STDs and abortion over the past ten years ? This could be a budget move in a wrapper. Did they print on the wrapper " Don't eat this gum, it tastes like rubber ." ? Sigh......

I would think that if you can afford a cell phone that uses apps and the related cell phone service, then condoms wouldn't necessarily be a "budget breaker."

If it is illegal to spit gum on the sidewalk in NY, Chewed condoms...

Ah well, littering anyway. Could you sue the city if the condom failed...
