We were going to wait a bit longer to announce this, but word leaked out about it on Twitter today, so here goes: Tomorrow, we're going to be releasing a new podcast we're calling Ricochet Roundtable. The cast for our debut show: Mark Steyn, Jonah Goldberg, and Rob Long.  They've appeared together before, but not in a while and certainly not on a regular basis (and we guarantee the audio quality will be better than that clip). We know how many of you are fans of all three of these guys, so we're very excited to be able to bring this to you. Our plan is to do these as often as their schedules permits.

Oh, one more thing: you have be a Ricochet member to hear it. So...join today!

You do realize I'm spending more time listening to Ricochet podcasts than watching TV now, right?  You evil geniuses.

 Great Stuff!

Topic for discussion:  can you guys come up with a better 2012 motto than Pres. Obama's "You might want to think about a trade-in."?

The "killer app" for Ricochet happens to be the wonderful podcasts, in my opinion.

Also please tell Mark Steyn not to yield to the people complaining when he tells the truth about Detroit.

I've lived here most of my life and his mild criticisms don't match the grim reality.

Anecdote: Once upon a time I had to leave I-75 through the Dearborn street exit and drive through a Detroit neighborhood called Delray. Every so often I'd find yet another abandoned house burned down, and once or twice on fire while I passed. Another time I happened to turn my head at just the- uh "right" moment to see a huge big screen TV glaring in the night in what I had always assumed to be an abandoned house. This was about 1997, and I think that TV was worth more than the house it occupied. No, I'm sure of it.

Can we up the ante and get a "Cash for Clunkers" program up and running re: Obama's re-election?

Yeah, this sounds like a great of meeting of the minds!

If Ricochet provided me with anymore quality for my $30 a year I'm going to start wondering if I'm stealing from them.  I love all the podcasts, but especially look forward to podcasts with Jonah Goldberg and/or Mark Steyn.

You guys out do yourselves constantly.  I look forward to the middle of each week as new podcast time.

Yeah, that did it.  I've listened to the weekly podcast for months but always resisted paying $3.47 a month (why?).  With these 3 guys now on a new weekly podcast I have, this very morning, become a fully paid-up member.  In fact, I'd say this is worth not just a Starbucks latte but probably a slice of that nice lemon pound cake of theirs to go with it.

This announcement's left many of us in an emotional state, and some have said things in the heat of the moment they might later regret.

Be a gentleman, Yeti. As the comments indicate we're all vulnerable here. On the strength of this promise (...as often as their schedules permit.), you could take advantage of our pocketbooks in very unseemly ways. We know you'll do the right thing.

Who's the Rici-leaker?  Or is this a misdirected Media Matters (but I repeat myself) attempt at guerilla warfare?

Honestly, is that the best picture of a round table you could come up with?  EJ Hill, call your office.  All's I'm saying is that there's a famous picture in the Algonquin hotel that offers photo-shop possibilities.

There were some fun videos of this crew on NRO, during the 2008 primary season.  Even using my secret back-door entrance, the page is still there, but the video is missing.  Any chance of retrieving those?
