New Hampshire's Democratic Governor Agrees to Block ObamaCare Exchange
More proof that ObamaCare has ushered in a new era of bipartisanship by creating . . . a common enemy.
Yesterday, New Hampshire's Democratic Governor John Lynch signed legislation blocking implementation of a health insurance exchange in New Hampshire. That would be one of those exchanges that states are supposed to set up out of their patriotic desire to implement the beloved Affordable Care Act. As reported in NewHamshireWatchdog.org, the governor and Democrats in the assembly initially supported the creation of an exchange, but legislation to do so stalled out on the floor of the state senate. When the blocking legislation sailed through, the governor switched sides. As Michael Gannon comments at Cato: "It does not speak well of ObamaCare that Democrats are heading for the exits."

This is very good news. New Hampshire is a bellwether state with many independent-minded voters. It's one more sign flashing that the 'progressive' mirage is dissipating.

Lynch too is heading for the exits. In 2006 the Democrats took over the state legislature for the first time in over a hundred years. In the four years the Democrats ran the legislature and we had a Democrat governor (2006-2010), they destroyed the state's finances. The Republicans regained the legislature in 2010, but Lynch held on as governor, so the improvements have been marginal. The Democrats radicalism while in office have made this purple state more red.
