My Two Favorite Occupy Wall Street Stories of the Day

1) Occupy Wall Street narrowly avoided full implosion over the serious issue of ... drum circles. (Near as I can tell, that link does not take you to a vicious parody, even if it does read like something a satirist would write about how Occupy Wall Street's consensus approach and drum circle community aren't working out so well).
2) Only about one in 10 tents at the Occupy London protest are occupied at night. How do we know this? The Telegraph used thermal imaging. Impressive that the group was able to shut down St. Paul's and the area commerce with these numbers.

Obviously, the missing tent-dwellers are busy at a sound-proof studio somewhere, taking night drumming lessons. Professionalism is so important in protest drumming.

I've always thought drum circles were a narcissistic form of artistic expression. I can tolerate listening to a drum circle for 5 minutes then it becomes annoying. The only people who enjoy drum circles are the people who are participating in them and a lot of that enjoyment is aided by various chemicals. Allowing 4 hours of drum circling sounds generous to me. Drum circles are symbolic of the OWS movement. A bunch of spoiled narcissists with nothing interesting to say.

Apparently they have found that edge were even the psychedelics cannot make the drums tolerable. For some reason, Finance is withholding funds to replace or secure the drums.
