Mr. Johnson Goes to Washington
This video is awesome. In it, new Sen. Ron Johnson takes to the Senate floor to note that no serious effort is being made to address the nation's fiscal crisis. Unless the Senate's Democratic leadership initiates an open debate on the budget, he's going to begin to object to legislation coming up for a vote. It's a huge threat and a good reminder of how much power individual senators have. So Johnson was threatening to bring the Senate to a standstill.
What's less awesome is also more predictable: Within hours, Johnson relented and allowed Senate business to process on schedule. And we're at close to 800 days without a budget.
So it's back to business as usual. Sigh.

I wonder who got to him. And I wonder what DeMint thinks of this.

What makes you certain he is backing down completely? I see this as a tactical retreat.
I don't believe that Ron Johnson has the least bit of interest in being reelected in 2016. He wants to see changes made in DC.
