I remember when Chuck Schumer was running for the Senate for the first time. In an interview on NPR, I heard him say, "I have a passion for legislating." My instant reaction was, why isn't that an instant disqualifier? Why don't more people want what I want: someone who has a passion for repealing?
That was 12 years ago. I think the times, they are a-changin'.
