Better than the Dede Scozzafava endorsement.

Indeed. Do you think it'll sway any of her former supporters over to Mitt's camp?

I don't know. Dede was the perfect example of someone who was in the right place at the right time for all the wrong reasons. She may be endorsing Ralph Nader this time. Who knows? Least of all, Dede.

Isn't this the sort of logical conundrum that Captain Kirk used to destroy Nomad?

Has anyone checked on Karl Rove? Is he okay?

Wow.

First Dan Quayle, now Christine O'Donnell.

If Charlie Christ endorses Romney it will all be over.

Somehow.

Diane, something tells me you rushed to the keyboard to post that headline to beat everyone else to it. As well you should. I suspect it will be posted at Hot Air with the disclaimer: "It's come to this."

Game. Set. Match.

Good luck recovering from this, Gingrich.

Deval Patrick couldn't beat Mitt in Salem now.

She's not a witch. She doesn't need the Eye of Newt.

She anticipated the joke, so she endorsed Mitt. It seems logical, Captain.

After their debate the other night, Gingrich and Huntsman got together for a coin toss to determine which one would pay off O'Donnell to endorse Romney.

I don't know what O'Donnell was thinking, alienating her base like that.  Every witch and warlock I know is backing Ron Paul.

Must we jump on the liberal mock-and-sneer bandwagon?

I can't get into it.  I still feel too much the validity of her thinking someone has to take on Castle.  And I'm still mad at the establishment for trashing her after she'd gotten the nomination, before the general election.

Now when we speak as if she was a disaster for the Tea Party, I think we do her an injustice, make ourselves small, and discourage too many good people from getting in and aiming high.

I don't think endorsements matter that much anymore.

Newt seems to be doing fine, anyway - we the people get to decide.

I'd feel a lot better about Newt if could secure some endorsements of people he's worked with over the years.

I am disappointed that Christine O'Donnell is still in the news cycle at all.

I blame her, and her staunch defenders, for the re-election of Harry Reid.  If she hadn't captured the Tea Party's fire.  If she hadn't been the victim of some pretty unfair attacks.  If her defenders hadn't turned attacks against a single candidate into a knee-jerk defense of "Tea Party" candidates who were "Genuine Conservatives."

If all of that had been true, then I believe that Sue Lowden would be sitting in Reid's seat today.

One of the major flaws in Sharon Angle's candidacy was that she wasn't "casino friendly."  Sue Lowden was both casino friendly and genuinely conservative.  Lowden could have overcome her "chicken to the doctor gaffe" by the general, and casinos like Harrah's wouldn't have been pressuring their employees to do GOTV efforts against her -- as they did against Angle.  The casinos viewed Angle as anti-gaming.

Sharon Angle never should have been taken seriously.  Neither should O'Connell.

Newt stuck his neck out for Dede when no one else would. I'd be surprised if she supported anyone else.

Thanks for this. I was not fully aware of the casino angle.

I hear ya. Here are three "respectable" GOP losers. No one is trashing them. If Doheny would have stayed out, NY 23 would be Republican.

Meg Whitman, Carly Fiorina, and  Matthew Doheny.
