The Daily Caller has been doing some outstanding work.  Few outlets have done better at reporting conservative scoops—that is, news stories, unreported by other outlets, that conservatives consider important for the public to see and hear.

One of the bright young stars at The Daily Caller is Michele Fields.  I first noticed her when she reported on the Occupy protestors in Washington D.C.  She and her camera operator produced some fantastic video of the protestors’ trying to harass people leaving a meeting of Americans for Prosperity, a group founded by David and Charles Koch.  The video included the protestors’ knocking down an elderly woman and showing little concern for her as she lay dazed and injured.

In another story, Fields cornered a number of “patriotic millionaires,” who were lobbying Congress to raise their own taxes.  She brought along an iPad and asked them to make on-the-spot donation to the U.S. Treasury.  All refused.

Fields’ reporting has been extremely interesting and entrepreneurial, and it often has reflected much courage.

If I were to predict who will be the future conservative mega stars in journalism—those who, say, a decade from now will be highly renowned and respected and will be doing the most to move opinion and policy in the conservative direction—the following would be my short list:  Greg Gutfeld, Andrew Breitbart, James O’Keefe, Iowahawk’s David Burge, and Fields.

(Another whom I think almost deserves to be on the list is the Daily Caller’s Jamie Weinstein.  But perhaps, I may be biased.)

Here’s a fantastic interview of Fields by C-SPAN’s Brian Lamb.  Although Lamb focuses many of his questions on the new world of internet journalism, I predict that soon a more traditional news outlet—such as Fox, CNN, or one of the big three networks—will try to steal her from the Daily Caller.

I saw, or rather, heard, the footage of the "Patriotic Millionaires" refusing to donate via John Hinderaker's HWX a few episodes ago.  Very rich in irony.
So she was the one responsible for that.  Brava!

I saw the show and was impressed by the whole package. Smart pretty cunning and savvy is like an incoming MIRV to the media of tomorrow . Now if we can get her , James O'Keefe , and Jsson Mattera their own channel, then the Jon Stewarts of the world are toast. If truth is stranger than fiction then the reality is bound to be funnier than the contrived satire. Michele said she wanted to be a network anchor . We can only hope that the network isn't one of the alphabetic antiques we don't watch now.

Very interesting. I would like to know her political quotient.

Ms. Fields is one sharp cookie. Regarding Ms. Fields' political leanings: she claims to be an ardent Ron Paul supporter at the end of that interview. This is consistent with her libertarian convictions, youthful idealism: nothing is said about Congressman Paul's electability, or his ludicrous foreign policy positions...
