I pulled my boy out of school today to attend the Ryan rally at the local Peterbilt dealership.   The place was absolutely packed and filled with the most polite and decent sort of folks imaginable.   The Ryan bus pulled up to AC/DC music.

Ryan jumped out and confidently took the platform to a phenomenal reception.  He honored our soldiers and he honored God.  Discussions about responsible use of resources here in Nevada as well as nationwide to get our country moving again through business friendly job creation and energy independence were featured.  He deeply cares about what we leave for our children and grandchildren.  "We will take responsibility,"  "We can do this," and other positive messages were interdispersed between more specific proposals.

Multiple times he stressed economically responsible behavior and closed with a fury to the joy of the thousands there.  Following that he shook hands with the crowd, including my son,  and hugged some ladies to their great delight.

All in all it was a very moving experience.  I can promise you all this, he is a real man for the tough times to come.

Fred's in NY and busy working, so probably not. It's funny, though.

Right you are KP, but we had a lively discussion about things we agree on and then I told him he was dead wrong in not voting against a near Marxist just because the GOP has cronyism in it.  He's going Gary Johnson(surprise).

I may have been his friendliest Romney supporter of the day.  We shook hands and I congratulated him for caring about this country enough to speak up.

Our Boyz were in school today.  We worked for hours with the youngest on the 50 states, the past couple of days.  Today?  They canceled the test on the states for all of the geography classes in the school.  And announced that they were switching over to study water pollution.  Gosh, I can't imagine the sort of thinking that was behind that sudden shift in the curriculum!

So now, our boy will have to receive his instruction on U.S. Geography from home.  And, even though I have worked professionally on water pollution for decades, he will be receiving his instruction in that subject matter from an AFSCME member.

Wish our boy had been taken to a Ryan Rally today, instead, and glad that yours was!

Wayne Allen Root announced his resignation from the Libertarian Party, today.  It's a shame you could not have had that tidbit in your pocket, then.  Either way, he will run across this news and find out for himself why Root has decided to work towards getting Romney elected.

I am jealous! I saw Paul Ryan at a medical conference wonking out vs a proponent of Obama care. It was hard to see the congressman vs the expert. Seeing his talents as a retail politician and his growth on the national stage is just plain awesome. He is a five tool player and no longer a prospect.

OMG - AC DC music, speech, hugs.

This is amazing politics. Does he have time to talk about ground issues? Great way to know what is happening across the country.

My Facebook girlfriends need a hug from Ryan to forget Obama's stories.

You asked for it; you got it! ;)

You’ve Got Competition, Mrs. Obama

EThompson · Sep 3 at 2:29pm

After the GOP convention, I realized the Republicans have a potent weapon named Janna Ryan. I couldn’t help but notice that the wife of the vice presidential candidate exudes youth, style, and the one thing that usually eludes the GOP- thecoolfactor.

Flawless ponytail and Hepburn-esque little black dress aside, Mrs. Ryan is also acknowledged for her intellect on the blogAbove the Law:

The successful birthing is nice and all — Mrs. Ryan has three children — but we’re talking about a woman who graduated from Wellesley College and holds a law degree from George Washington University.

And even on theHuffington Post:

It seems like Janna Ryan might be an intellectual partner to Paul Ryan...

Worried about the youth vote? Note to the Romney campaign: send Ann CoulterandJanna Ryan on a college tour across the nation!

I think utilizing her talents in some fashion is a great idea!
