Meet Our New Interns
I'm pleased to introduce you to Ricochet's new interns: Adam Schwartzman and Joshua Riddle. Adam and Josh will be working behind the scenes to make Ricochet an even better place. Occasionally you'll hear from them from our main feed too.
A few words about each of them:
Josh Riddle is a junior at Dartmouth College and will graduate in 2012.
He is a government major with an emphasis on American politics and economics. He was a two year starting power-forward for the Dartmouth Varsity Basketball team, Associate and Web Editor for The Dartmouth Review, Founder of Young Conservatives, and co-founder of The Young Cons.
In his free time he is a student leader for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and enjoys making music videos. You can see his latest video here.
Adam Schwartzman is a sophomore at Dartmouth College where he is double majoring in Philosophy and English with a minor in Chinese.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Adam is a member of the Dartmouth Rugby Football Club and an editor of The Dartmouth Review. He is allergic to cats.

Who would have thought that Adam's autoimmune system would have given him the edge in the selection process?

Re: Meet Our New Interns
Dartmouth? Mmmmm. Disturbing trend. Take it you didn't get any applications from, say, the University of Arkon. Oh, well. Good to have them aboard.
Men, keep your eye out on Diane. Don't let her corner you in the break room and Schwartzman! Yeah, Schwartzman, I'm talking to you! Stay away from that Berlinski woman, too! She's all about the cats!

Re: Meet Our New Interns
Good to see some smart young men, who can:
1. Write, reason, and are broaden their minds with Philosophy, Politics, and the dismal science.
2. Play real sports like Baseball, and even more so Rugby (a real man's game); and not some effete affectations of that British import like baseball.
3. Learning Chinese is to be admired , I have tried several times, with no success, as it is a complex and truly foreign language compare with us English speakers.
4. Allergies to cats (but not dogs) means you have a future in the Military, Banking, or leadership in general. But not with the msnbc trotskyist collective.
Be warned to stay clear of Claire B who is sliding into her role as crazy women wearing a muumuu hand feeding her 8 Cats.

Re: Meet Our New Interns
I have an allergy to cats, but it's not physical.
Is Josh Riddle related to Lord Voldemort?
And it's oddly charming how baffled Rob is by scifi/fantasy refs. He's a darned scriptwriter. Comeon, plot... Thinking of changing my profile pic to Count Hasimir Fenring.

EJ, thanks for the laugh. That's great.
Josh and Adam, welcome.
I wonder if, based on Tuesday's results, Peter's posts, and our two new interns, we shouldn't plan a Rico Soiree, Hanover? I'll be up there 'round Christmas time and perhaps again in January.

Re: Meet Our New Interns
Welcome Aboard!
For the next crop of interns, Ricochet will hire students from Middlebury College in order to be more geographically diverse.
Re: Meet Our New Interns
Thanks a lot Diane! I'm proud to be a part of team Ricochet and I think it's going to be a lot of fun.
On a side note, that Bill Clinton pic is hilarious.

Re: Meet Our New Interns
On a side note, I don't think these interns are exactly Bill's type..... too thin, to begin with, and then there is that other bothersome gender deal.
Guys, be alerted that there are a few here who believe that the famed Dartmouth alums who run Powerline are RINOs.

Re: Meet Our New Interns
Two points of order
1. Famed? Do you think if they walked into a bar in Durham, NC, they'd be recognized?
2. RINOs? That's because they are. Just because they walked the hallowed halls of Dartmouth does not inoculate them from criticism from conservatives.

Very interesting to hear you're minoring in Chinese... 欢迎! Keep it up-- it's a very interesting language to study, and one with a long past and future.

Weather permitting, I'd go for that. Any excuse to escape Moonbat-istan (aka Massachusetts) for an evening :))
Re: Meet Our New Interns
Welcome, interns! We're so looking forward to dumping everything we don't want to do on you and calling it "an important introduction to the realities of the workplace." As for the cat allergy--I take it that was a coded message to me, you know, "Claire, don't exploit the intern" or something. Won't work. The cat allergy excuse will do him no good: He's 8,000 miles away from any cat of mine. He starts sneezing, it's because he's allergic to all the insane coffee requests Diane's about to make. Note to Intern: She is only going to tell you how she takes her coffee once. After that, you botch it, it'll be like working for Glenn Close playing Anna Wintour.

Yeah, Chinese will come in real handy.
How do you say:
"OK, boss, I cleaned the lavatory and took out the trash. What's next?" in Mandarin?
