Maybe It's Just Some Weird Kind of Ravioli

So apparently, they found something with wires, pipes and antennae underneath a subway seat in Rome, and they're puzzling to figure out what it might be:
ROME (AP) -- An explosive device was found Tuesday under a subway-car seat in Rome and bomb-disposal experts were examining whether it was an attempted Christmas season terror attack, officials said.
I'm all for circumspection in reporting, but by definition, it's the Christmas season, and no one puts something like that under a subway seat in an effort to spread merriment now, do they?

That sounds like a pretty good guess to me. And I am guessing that it was put there by a member of a certain "religion of peace." See? I can be circumspect, too.
But seriously, it sounds like a package of bomb parts that was planted there to be assembled later — in about two or three days, just to take a wild guess.

It could be a Kwanzaa season attack, or a Hanukkah season attack, or just some pagan, winter solstice-type attack.
Re: Maybe It's Just Some Weird Kind of Ravioli
You're right, of course. Or an early summer attack.

A bomb to spread merriment? Hot on the trail of the Joker, though my fencing skillz are largely defensive. Grab your cape.

Obviously a Mossad plant to convince those racist Italians that Muslim perfidy is afoot.
Although it could have been those nuns from An American Carol.
