Re: Martini Shot: The Office
So, on Thursday March 15th, studio facilities managers across Southern California were called in to the Boss' office and were requested to supply audits of everyone who had an office on the lot and exactly what contracted project they were working on. These audits were due yesterday.
Tomorrow morning Rob Long will find all four of his car tires slashed. Venice Beach police will say that the all of these events, including last week's KCRW Martini Shot, was probably just a big coincidence.
For some reason, some of Mr. Long's oldest friends in the writing community will not return his phone calls. And the "stool pigeon" Tweets... don't pay any attention to that... KIDS!

Reference to the episode of Cheers that I remember most clearly - the one where Sam talks Woody into accepting a title (executive bartender or something silly like that) instead of a raise.

Apropos of nothing in particular except it's an amusing Hollywood studio story Mel Brooks meets Cary Grant on the lot

Now I gotta wonder who he's talking about. "My work here is done," perhaps?
