Marco Rubio always seems to follow Peter's four word advice about speech-giving: "Crack jokes. Tell stories." It's a rarity in the Senate, where so many are in love with the sounds of their own voices. But the principles that undergird these words are the key element, the aspect so often sorely lacking in political speeches today.

Pseudodionysius: Why hello everyone. While I'd love to entertain the home team with Aquinas's use of Boethius's definition of person and personhood and get into all the metaphysical notions of subsistent relations (and, no, those aren't your in-laws who have overstayed their welcome) I think its probably best that those of us with these metaphysical inclinations wisely materialize in a separate thread dedicated to that task rather than the one at hand.

We did a pretty complete "when does life begin" thread only about a month ago. I'd post the link, but Ricochet doesn't let you track more than the last 10 threads.
But, my fundamental question is, what on earth is wrong with you people? We know the exact age of viability. It is written in to law, and not old law- right up to date.
Viability is the age at which you are expected to obtain your own health insurance- that is, 26.

We Jews have a different definition, rooted in thousands of years of tradition and wisdom.
We believe in the right of parents to retroactively choose abortion, up until the foetus graduates from medical school.
