You stay classy, Mister President . . .

Assuming your server's been down and your e-vite never made it to your in-box, you can take comfort in this nugget from today's New York Daily News -- Lady Gaga flirting with Bill Clinton at a Hollywood Bowl party celebrating 10 years of the William J. Clinton Foundation.

I'd give you more details of what Gaga said and did, but Diane Ellis has better things to do than clean up foul language.

Suffice to say, Gaga was an embarrassment.

No, I take that back. Bill Clinton is an embarrassment . . . for associating himself with such dirt (and, yes, he takes the hit because you know he reviewed a stage list that also included Bono, Stevie Wonder and Kenny Chesney (shame on you, Kenny)).

Two observations:

(1) One would think that, a decade removed from office and with two decades of hobnobbing with celebrities under his belt (pun intended), Bill Clinton would not only know the difference between entertainment royalty and riff-raff, but would also understand that fetes like this only cheapen an already sad legacy of lack of presidential dignity.

(2) The Clinton Foundation. It hosts swell meetings in Manhattan. It's soooooo serious about making this one big happy world. But what, exactly, has it done? I tracked down a "list" of accomplishments. But there's something sketchy about the line-items of making the world better (millions have better health care, are receiving a better education, etc.). It's long on generalities, short on specifics.

Clinton's long been out of office. As we saw in the last midterm, his ability to rally Democrats is vastly over-rated. Should I get over this latest indignity, or would it be worth the media's while to look into what the Clinton Foundation, where it spends its money, etc.?

Taxpayers in California are about to pony up $150,000 for a Bill Clinton appearance at a conference of "sustainable development" bureaucrats.

If sex is about as sacred to you as a pastrami sandwich, as it no doubt is to Lady Gaga (and Bill Clinton,) then why not share your sandwich? If that's the role of sex in your life, then the only real problem is not having enough mustard.

His great strength with the Democrats is that he "won' the whole impeachment thing and frustrated Republicans. He has brought much shame & embarassment to the Office (during & after). Odd that a man that old still needs that kind of adoration, it's kinda creepy.

Unsurprising.

Bill Clinton remains a profoundly unserious man, and Lady Gaga remains an "artist" who tends to the lowest desires of which human beings are capable. Unfortunately, these are things that suit the taste of the demos perfectly.

An image flashed in my head of James Carville saying something about trailer parks and 100 dollar bills and then it vanished. Guess she's just trying to keep up with the Jones's.

Lady Gaga.  At last, a musical act that makes The Spice Girls look deep..

And what, in Bill Clinton's decades of public life, led you to believe him susceptible to taste, tact, or decency? He will be remembered only for the cigar jokes.

Ahhhhh.  Slick Willy and Madame Iron Pant Suit.  What a pair.  You know it really wasn't the economy stupid.  Ronald Reagan and George Bush had taken care of Carter's disaster.  NO, IT WAS THE MORALITY STUPID!   In particular the lack of it.  He committed the sins and she was unwilling to hold him accountable for it.  A real team effort.

Ain't it grand that they just go on and on bringing the country down.

Bill Clinton will sink his own reputation, such as it is. You can count on it. Let YouTube handle it. Don't get into the gutter with Lady Gaga, etc. People know sleaze when they see it. Let it go without saying.

And the crowd goes wild!  The judges all show 10's (even the Russian).
