According to the Daily Mail, members of the 1st Battalion Royal Anglian Regiment returned to what should have been a hero's welcome in Great Britain, only to be spat at and cursed by a group of people, some holding banners that called the troops "butchers." Evidently, members of MAC, which stands for More Angry Cretins, ...wait, check that. It's Muslims Against the Crusades, referring to an event that took place some time before I graduated high school. In any case, these representatives of the religion of peace, residing in Great Britain, are mortally offended that British troops are fighting the terrorists in the Mideast as opposed to fighting them in, say, London.

Imagine Japanese Americans protesting our troops as they came home from WWII. Or imagine Mexican immigrants protesting Americans displaying American flags in America. Oops,...check that one too.

During my final tour in the Mideast, I served with British troops. They are tough as nails, great fighters and possess a wicked sense of humor. They deserve better than this. The 1st Battalion lost five of their own in Afghanistan. That they are heroes is obvious. As for the MAC fanatics, I'm thinking one-way plane tickets back from whence they came would be a nice start.

It's Not Rocket Science

As Mark Steyn loves to point out, the primary identity for a not-insignificant number of Europe's Muslims identify not with their homeland, their new country, or Europe, but with Islam. They are only biding their time in the Dar al-Harb until that glorious day when the infidels are subdued and the Caliphate is restored.

Durka-durka, Mohammed jihad.

Not sure if this violates site rules, but I side with Mark in thinking some people ought not to be allowed in country under any circumstances. And if that requires blanket profiling, I'm cool with that.

There'll always be an England, but not in England any more. More in the US, Australia and India. Heck, even Canada hasn't fallen so low as Britain.
