A great story from Australia where lying climate scientists have been caught out lying again. This time about the death threats they've allegedly been receiving.

Except they haven't. An FOI request by a Sydney blogger has revealed that they've been up to their usual tricks, exaggerating in order to attract undeserved public sympathy for their bankrupt cause.

Most days in my inbox I get hate-mail from greenies who think I'm a card-carrying agent of Satan. Unless I'm in a low mood, these emails (and Tweets) tend not to bother me. Indeed, I greet them with a degree of joy and pride. After all, when you're taking flak it means you're over the target.

But here's the big difference between myself and the alarmist scientists. I'm not taking public money and I'm not telling lies.

Listened to a recent podcast betwix yourself and the Green DownUnder supporter.  Far less than an open minded exchange from the Green side. Which led to no good end or any suggestion of open minded thinking from Watermellon Heads.

James , I'm on to your games buddy. I've heard you exhaling real hard. Four years ago, climatologists were the sexiest boys on the block and now they are increasingly discredited and only the truly devout are sacrificing themselves at the alter.

Hey James - are you gonna return to the sceptered Isle, or stay in Oz?

When are you gonna do another podcast, man?!

You Brits don't really understand our system or our politics and are almost always wrong, but I just love listening to you all talk.

Just for the love of God stop telling people that Obama would be better than Romney.  Please, I beg you.

Some of us can't wait four more years for things to get better, regardless of how that effects the GOP's long term prospects.

The plain fact is that I'll have went bankrupt and starved to death before we get another crack at the ball.

At the very least, Romney knows that a giant negative number at the bottom of the column is very bad.

That's a starting point we can work from (which is miles ahead of where JugEars™ will have stopped).

Please help us James.  Use your limey powers of adding unwritten syllables to words and using odd colloquialisms to further our cause.

If it's quid pro quo that you're looking for, I promise to come and help fight your eventual civil war (or at least send fine firearms for you to use when doing so).

Whaddaya say?

"When we've practiced for a while,
How vastly we improve our style"

They've been practicing for quite a while. Their style has not improved, however.

Has there been any mention of Henrik Svensmark's foundational paper on cosmic rays and climate on Ricochet?

I have to call you out on a gramatical error.  "Lying climate scientist" is redundant.

I've a strong suspicion that the emails I get in my inbox most days from the ecoloons who congregate at places like the Guardian's Komment Macht Frei are far more foul-mouthed, repellant and poisonous than anything these junk scientists have ever received. The difference is, I do my damnedest to stick to the truth and I'm not being paid zillions of pounds or dollars at public expense to promote the most expensive and mendacious scam in the history of science. There's just no justice is there?

A beautiful finish, James.  That ought to bring the gibberers to full froth.

The depressing fact is that although the watermelon machine is making progress, the prevailing "wisdom" is still with the other side. I just spent two weeks in London with a side trip to visit friends in Northampton. The London Zoo is a veritable climate change fortress and most people just assume that the green machine is right - to be fair, they have lives and don't give it more than superficial study/thought.

What amazes me is the overt stupidity that is accepted. I recently turned around a trucking company in the UK. New mandated engines, combined with newly mandated fuel, actually reduce trucks MPG - even if you bought the hogwash, this would be amazingly counterproductive.

However, when a steel plant can be shut in England with the loss of some 4,000 jobs - so that one can be opened in India with the same technology and emission levels - and the company doing it gets hundreds of millions of sterling for nobly performing this deed, the world has truly gone mad.

Hats off to our British Cervantes.

Wait, so James are you saying you're NOT a card-carrying agent of Satan?!
