A shorter (but equally kinetic!) episode this week as the King and Queen of Bloggerland kick around the rise of Herman Cain, the decline of Rick Perry, Solyndra, the Wall Street protesters, and Jennifer's close encounters with Santorum and Romney. They finish up with bidding a fond adios to Christie and Palin. Remember, Kaus and Rubin debate the issues so you don't have to.

I like Jennifer Rubin.  She got a lot of flack over Rick Perry, but I think she was correct: Perry is hardly a strong conservative figure himself.  She's not a squishy ubermoderate, she just spoke the truth: Perry wasn't the one.

Left Coast/Right Coast is a misnomer. They are both adrift at see with limited hope to reach any coast. While it is nice to see Mr. Kaus tempered leftiness, I cannot say the same about Ms. Rubin. Furthermore Ms. Rubin's apparent disregard for vast chunks of the American people and her hyper-intense "I talk over you when I want to"-style makes this podcast increasingly disappointing. When faced with a RINO and a LINO - wouldn't it be nice if the RINO had a sporting chace to come off as the winner? Not the way this ting is going.

In reference to Jennifer's conversation with Romney, someone here at Richochet -- and my apologies for not being able to find the quote -- made the comment that upon meeting Romney one sees a certain polish -- but the more one looks, it becomes an oily sheen.  (My sentiments exactly.)  Might Jennifer's Washington-issued sunglasses perhaps prevent her from catching this?

I hope the powers that be at Ricochet will not make this a fast-and-furious podcast. I felt like they were just getting started when Jennifer Rubin had to leave.
