Lady Drivers
Last night, the LPGA voted to drop the “female at birth” requirement for participation in its tournaments and events. I hadn’t been following the story, but apparently the LPGA had been dragging its cleats on the issue. Several other women’s sports organizations have already dropped this requirement. It seems the LPGA’s hand was forced by a retired police officer, himself/herself a transgendered individual, who wants to compete in LPGA events. (S)he can now do so.
If I didn’t have to teach my CCD class tonight, I’d spend more time researching what exactly prevents, say, my husband from dressing up as a lady and entering a tournament. I realize I’m being flippant here. (I must add, however, in all seriousness, that we are always open to new financial opportunities to improve our family’s lot.)
But I digress. I just don’t get it. Here is the wiki page defining “transgender.” It seems that if one is vehement enough about how one identifies oneself, many – all? – competitive gender boundaries in sports are moot. Am I missing something?

Re: Lady Drivers
I say push it to the ultimate - ban all segregated sports as unconstitutional. Make the women compete in the men's divisions in all sports and at all levels. Problem solved. If they can't hack it - tough.

OK, I'll say it. You may not be missing something but the ex-cop who wants to play with the girls certainly is!

Re: Lady Drivers
This week the PGA is having its Q School Tournament. 166 men are competing for 25 spots on the PGA tour. So, by this time next week, should we expect to see 141 new transgender golfers showing up at the LPGA?

Re: Lady Drivers
I can't wait to hear the howls of complaint and demands for affirmative action because no women ever make the finals of the Masters. Harrison Bergeron, here we come- Roger Federer will be required to add 10 pounds to each shoe and keep his left arm in a sling.

If your family really needs the money that badly, I'm sure your husband could pull it off.
And of course he'd have to avoid becoming a hooker.

"I Double Dear You?" Are those fightin' words?
Or a slicer. You have to watch out for the hazards on the left.

Wouldn't he have to be a slicer or slicey in order to become a hooker?
I'm so confused.

In golf a hook goes opposite your hand. If you're right handed and curves left it's a hook, if it goes right it's a slice.

Those were the two best double entendres I've come up with in a long time, so I was very relieved to get somebody to groan.

1.Just think of all the unemployed cross-dressing golfers that have been denied access to the market! Do we have no sympathy? 2. This may finally make womens professional golf watchable! 3.no longer is the "community" subjected to a career as a Cher look alike in a second rate drag show. They can now be a Cher look alike at the Womens British Open!
