Kill Romney? This is civil?

Per Politico "Unless things change and Obama can run on accomplishments, he will have to kill Romney,” said a prominent Democratic strategist aligned with the White House."
What happened to civil discourse? Why isn't anyone making a fuss about this?

Yes that seems just right and fitting with their philosophy, courtesy of Aulinsky.
No fuss using violent rhetoric when you are the party of peace in our time.

According to Rush, everything at Politico probably comes right from the White House. :o

Re: Kill Romney? This is civil?
Everyone knows that it's just a metaphor when democrats do it. Their adherents would never actually foment violence over politics. This isn't London, after all.

Re: Kill Romney? This is civil?
Because rules of civility apply only to the right.

Re: Kill Romney? This is civil?
Leftists use metaphors; conservatives must be taken literally.

Re: Kill Romney? This is civil?
Civility was never the goal. The goal was to get the right and the Tea Party to be forced into silence.

Re: Kill Romney? This is civil?
Ever since killing Bin Laden, this administration is obsessed with delivering a Bain shot.

Re: Kill Romney? This is civil?
Well, except when we say actual, you know, stuff. Then it's a metaphor. So, for example, if you say: "I think the federal government should live within its means and balance its budget for the good of the country and all its citizens," this is obviously a metaphor for "I am an ignorant racist, brainwashed by Fox news, and I want to kill old people and see children starving in the streets so that hedge fund managers can have bigger yachts."

The funny thing is if anyone uses the same metaphor about the President, the Secret Service gets deeply involved.

Re: Kill Romney? This is civil?
Political language has always been tinged with overtones of violence in this country.
What I find to be a wonderfully encouraging sign is that Obama's henchmen appear to be concerned about Romney! Know it's still early, but surely did get a much needed pick-me-up [during a particularly heinous week in the market] from reading this post.
Thanks, Israel!

Re: Kill Romney? This is civil?
Nobody's concerned for the same reason no one on the Left was bothered when Obama said he was a Christian: because everyone knows that it was always a lie.

What's a "Bain shot?" I am unfamiliar with the reference. Do you mean a "brain shot," as in fatal blow?

You'd think they were in Afghanistan the way they are telegraphing their field intel.

Romney's dad ran for president ? ooohhh bad, Obama's dad probably thought about running in Kenya.
Romney's a Mormon ? oohhh bad, what religion was Obama again ??
Romney was Governor of Massachusetts and tried state healthcare that was too expensive . oohh bad, jealousy will get you nowhere-------
Romney listens to ( and probably knows ) the Osmonds ! oohh bad , do they do blunts ??

His time at Bain should be a feather in the cap, especially vis-a-vis the community organizing feather in Obama's hat.

Funny would be what would happen if someone prominent said or wrote "Every day brings Obama's death one day closer."

Romney founded and made his fortune with the consulting and investment firm Bain & Co.
To be more exact, Romney consulted for Bain & Co., but founded off-shoot Bain Capital. Bain Capital - his entrepreneurial baby- ultimately made him his fortune.
