Is it possible that kids get stupid as they get older?  These kids are way more articulate and informed than the college students one often sees commenting upon events.

Do they get stupid or indoctrinated?

Of course they get indoctrinated.  But these kids didn't fill their comments with "likes" and "um's".

It seemed to me that these kids had a basic grounding in right and wrong, good and evil, so they just put it right out there, whereas the college group still has some subconscious understanding of right and wrong, but they stumble all over themselves because they're conflicted by political correctness.

Smart kid.  But a bit squishy....a future David Brooks.

When my son was about nine or ten, he was watching over my shoulder as I scrolled through some scary Drudge headlines. He got really anxious and asked, "Is our army bigger than everybody else's?" When I said, "You bet it is," he was visibly relieved.

Kid's got more sense than his congressman, Dennis Kucinich, and most of his future college teachers. What a world.

I liked this video. It reminded me that children are often the place to go if you need a dose of common sense.

Kids are very familiar with "diplomacy by other means." It's the grown-ups that forget how important raw power and political alliances are in remaining safe on the playground.

Today's recent college graduates became aware of politics during the circus at the end of the Clinton years, and had known no other presidents before that time.  The kids in the video have grown up their entire lives back in the serious real world.  I'm not surprised they are more mature in some important ways.

We should give those twins separate Ricochet memberships.  It would be interesting to see how long before they go ad hominem on each other.

I like the redhead on the right. I noticed the serious and mildly disturbed look on the 6 year old girl's face early on when Obama was saying "terrorist" and "murdered", (and it is nice to hear him say those words).

I sort of cringed when i heard the ten year old in the green shirt say "hypocritical". He is much to young to be using the H-word.

Yeah, that kid legitimately impressed me. Not just "smart for a kid," but this guy is clearly paying attention and thinking about current events. I've seen bloviators on TV less insightful.

I suppose that girl being named Marlhy is evidence of the growing stupidity of adults.

I hate to burst this bubble, but remember that thing called confirmation bias?  College students are not left-indoctrinated zombies as a whole.  There are plenty of smart, insightful college students--they just aren't noticed as much.

That being said, leftist indoctrination is a huge problem in universities.   However, it varies a lot by academic field.  Some fields are more infested with disgruntled, useless leftists than others.

Besides, people in my generation are well aware of all the crap and doublethink around us; those who truly buy into it are rare, at least in my experience.

I see Bin Laden as more of a quickscoper - he exploits flaws in the system to score cheap-shot victories he couldn't get otherwise.

You know, I think I need to go outside more often.

Alls I know is, the Yellow Canoe Project is something we should totally get behind.  America does great things.
