Remember when the New York Times editorial page asked President George W. Bush to resign early so that President-elect Barack Obama could get working on solving the country's problems?

The shock of such a thought will keep me alert on my midnight drive home from work shortly.

I'm sure the NY Times will make the same suggestion for President-elect Bachmann, so that Mr Obama can get a head start on his next autobiography.

Maybe he'll resign early so we can get a head start on fixing this mess? No?

As the President said 2 years ago: "But I don't want the folks who created the mess to do a lot of talking. I want them to get out of the way so we can clean up the mess. I don't mind cleaning up after them, but don't do a lot of talking."

But if Bush had resigned, then Cheney would be President.  Or, had Cheney also resigned, then Pelosi would be president.  How much you want to bet she would step aside for that short time?

I wonder every time that newspaper is mentioned, why does anyone read it?

So we'd be about three months more screwed up and indebted?

Yeah, I think the national debt under Mr Obama is increasing at about $1000 per household per month - scary, eh?

Just cutting back on White House parties, Air Force One travels to fundraisers, Arugula and Kobe Beef should cut that down quite a bit.
