Just Askin' . . .
You're probably aware that Fox News is televising a Republican presidential debate on Thursday evening, live from Greenville, SC.
Question is: who all will be participating?
Tim Pawlenty is in, as are (reportedly) Herman Cain, Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul, Buddy Roemer and Rick Santorum. No word yet on Donald Trump.
As I write this, Mitt Romney's intentions are unclear.
Put on your strategist hat for a moment: is it better for Romney to show up in Greenville and likely take the brunt of attacks on Romneycare (especially from Pawlenty), or duck this debate that's heavy with second-tier candidates?
Someone who definitely won't be debating: gay rights activist Fred Karger, who was excluded from the field because, as per the South Carolina GOP's standards, he doesn't garner at least 1% support in five national polls.
If you had a chance to pose questions to the candidates, what would be your top three choices based on the following categories?
1) Domestic Affairs
2) Foreign Affairs
3) Leadership/National Confidence

Was taking any kind of military action in Libya a mistake, or was just the delay in doing it a mistake? Did we miss the window of opportunity?

Domestic Affairs: Gary Johnson (if you want someone who is deadly serious about reducing the size of government with his veto pen).
Foreign Affairs: John Bolton - No one else comes close.
Leadership: Mitch Daniels - He's got two terms as governor under his belt.

2 - What are your plans for fracturing the Democrats hold on African-American voters? How will you incorporate the growing Latino population into the Republican party?

1) In your opinion, what were the cause (causes) of the banking crises. What regulation did/do you find useful and what regulations do you feel should be modified now that there has been time to look back on events?
2) Whitch international organizations (UN, NATO,WTO, IMF...) do you believe are the most effective in preserving and furthering American interests?
3) What have you learned about the Muslim world since 9/11? What is your big "take away" from all that has occurred?
