Nothing quite conveys the horrific devastation experienced by Joplin, Missouri quite like these side to side before and after panorama shots of Joplin neighborhoods. Here's a screenshot, but I strongly recommend that you check out the interactive panoramas found at the link.

Wow. Those before & after shots are brutal. I was in Joplin for software training (obviously) in July '09.
I (we, I have partners) had just opened a new business and the trainer for the inventory control software we bought lives there.
I'm happy to say that the lady who trained us is fine, and the tornadoes didn't damage her home.

Humans are a unique and resourcefull species when tested. Hopefully to a good end.
