Re: Japanese Earthquake Photos
How horrible. So much damage is so little time. Who knows the lives lost. All I know to do is pray.

Whatever the casualty figure ends up being, you know it's gonna be a huge number.
Those folks are packed onto that island so tightly that a sardine can has to look roomy in comparison.
Bad deal, for sure.
Not much else to say, really.

The crazy thing is all the damage in Tokyo. The distance is as if an earthquake in Los Angeles was causing fires and the like in Vegas.

That part of Japan isn't densely populated. Lots of farmland in the immediate area of the quake, actually, especially right along the coast. Not all of Japan is Tokyo.

We live in Japan but I am in the Philippines on vacation. My son, who works in Tokyo, walked home in 8.5 hrs.
The city of Sendai near the epicenter, which i have visited many times, is a major-sized city.

Well, thank God for small mercies, eh?
If they get lucky, it'll just be a bunch of drowned houses and a couple of melted down power plants.
For once, I'm glad I was caught dealing in stereotypes. HA!
