Our friend Jim Geraghty, writing over at NRO's "Campaign Spot":
I don’t have the exits, but folks I know in the media and political worlds are getting their first glimpses....I am told that one Democratic strategist, helping a television network with Election Night analyssis, just declared that the Democrats were experiencing something on par with mass murder.

Re: It Begins
Peter, surely there must be some potent animal spirits wafting around, when mild gentlemen like yourself and Professor Rahe are wielding terms like "bloodbath" and "mass murder".
I do hope Media Matters isn't watching.

Re: It Begins
Which Conan are you Peter?
Are you the brooding barbarian of Howard's dark prose?
Are you the Nietzchean Genghis Khan quoting Conan of Oliver Stone's pen?
Personally, I see you as more a Solomon Kane, but that's just me.

Definitely Solomon Kane. The thought of Peter running around in a fur loincloth is, um . . . disturbing.

I do like the term Vanderleun used when posting the early exit polls from Drudge.
Mass Extinction Event.
Let's hope it spreads west...

Yeah, that's what he did at the San Francisco RicoSoiree.
I told him, "Dude, at least get a wax job and spray tan...."
I don't think he heard me. He was too busy trying to drag Claire Berlinski off to his yurt.

Turnout in Cuyahoga County (Cleveland) is way down, which is great news for Ohio because everyone here is nuts. (Think Dennis Kucinich, who I imagine is a wee bit nervous right now.) Speaking of interesting developments...

We've had our differences, Michael, but if O'Donnell gets over the finish line, gloat away. We can take it.
