Iran Okays Executing Mother of Two

Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani the woman who originally was to be stoned for adultery, now will just be executed...by which means we don't know. Isn't that kind of Iran. I wonder if these (expletive) decided that election day in the US was a good day to slip this one by us. Or was it the thank you note for the Tweeted happy birthday to Ahmadinejad? Let's hope today is the first step in bringing this current administration down. I'm sickened by their "human rights" stance.

Have you seen The Stoning of Saroya M? Hollywood and the press did their best to bury it, but it's must viewing.

Rubble don't cause trouble. And that's been the whole problem with our work in Afganistan and Iraq. We're trying to build a nation while we destroy it. You can't do both at the same time. You bring it to it's knees, then you rebuild.
People (let's say liberals) tell me it's a senseless war, the war on terrorism. What is the point? Why are we over there? The goal is the same as any war. Kill the enemies before they kill us. You know, those pesky 3,000 people who died going to work one day? The ones they've tried to kill with bombs in Chicago? And you do that by crippling countries with state sponsored, sanctioned or ignored terrorism. And you do that by war. It's not pretty. It's not nice.
But this is all a tangent. Today I worry for a Moslem mother of two and will say kaddish for her if the worst comes.

Actually, it got a lot of press here in Los Angeles. A Persian friend of mine saw it and said it was brutal. Sure, "Saw V" brings 'em in. But the real thing...not so much.

Soraya M- pretty much have to buy the DVD then pass it around like samidzat Rubble is fine but we need underground glow at all those bunkers. They didn't say anything about Neda. They are complicit in their silence.
