Frank Gaffney, the president of the Center for Security Policy in Washington, interviewed me today for Secure Freedom Radio. I had thought we were going to spend the whole time talking about the oil shale discovery south of Jerusalem, but we ended up basically covering the entire region in ten minutes. Phew!

Here's the link to my segment and the link to the full program, which also features interviews with Diana West, Jeff Smith and Bill Gertz.

(At one point Frank refers to me as Judith Ricochet. That's not a bad nom de plume for a mystery writer, actually.)

Judith, the proper soundbite for future reference is, "They don't want the '67 lines, they want the '47 lines."  More clarity than the "'49 lines."

Also, qualifying your characterization of Assad as Iran's only Arab ally: Assad is the only Arab ally of Iran who's a formal head of government.  Hezbollah qualifies as an Arab ally of Iran and is in the government majority of Lebanon, and Hamas is another Arab ally of Iran and has de facto governmental control in Gaza.

Stuart, Hezbollah and Hamas are Iranian proxies, not countries (not withstanding the government situation of the countries/territories they've wrested control over), so they're not analagous to Syria. They're essentially employees of Iran. It's an inflation of their status to refer to the groups as "allies" of Iran.

I'll make this clearer in future.

Lady Judith Ricochet has a nice ring to it as Lady Anatolia is already taken. If bestowed with equanimity, the Ricochet Code of Conduct may have to be amended to deal with formal events in which the males will have to bow or kneel in your presence.

I will bear the burden with customary aplomb.

Mm-hmm. Totally down with that.

I have no doubt.
