Here's a picture to go with Richard's fine post below about the train wreck that is Obamacare. Over at the Heritage Foundation's Foundry, they've got a great series of "Obamacare in pictures." Here's one that shows the 17 new taxes or penalties (adding up to $502 billion) that Obamacare will usher in over its first 10 years.
One big jump comes in 2013, a result of the Medicare Hospital Insurance tax and an increase in taxes on investment income. If you're one of Obama's "fat cats" (i.e., you make more than $200k a year), your Medicare payroll tax will increase from 2.9 to 3.8 percent.
