I predict the MSNBC responses to spare you the viewing agony...
Matthews: "Was this the greatest debate performance of the last 50 years...or the last 100? Maybe it was the greatest debate performance in the history of civilization. I dunno. Also, why didn't Mitt Romney just wear a pointy white hat? Only a racist would debate this President."
Maddow: "I'd make a long, discursively snarky remark that amounts to a semiotic Sunday drive through my quirky but incredibly narrow view on the political landscape, but SQUEEEEEEE!"
Schultz: "Comrades, the vanguard requires the firm leadership of President for Life Obama. Tonight, we move forward into the glittering socialist future. Kulaks, beware!"
O'Donnell: "Did I mention I wrote for the West Wing? Did I? Are you sure?"
Olbermann (lurking outside): "Spare a quarter for an old newsman down on his luck, SIR?"

Hate to spoil your prediction, but I'm watching MSNBC right now and here's what Matthews just said:

Matthews: "I feel a tingle going up ... uh. no, wait a minute. It's a trickle. And it's going down my leg."

Beat me to it Joseph. What a great night.
Finally, finally, FINALLY a Republican candidate who doesn't give us a stressful high-wire act in debates.
The naked emperor is being exposed.

Amen!
I'm too young to remember Reagan in the debates, I remember him as POTUS but I was, let's see, 8 during the '84 debates.
This was by far the best debate performance by a Republican candidate for President I have ever seen. I didn't realize our side was capable of it!

I'll give it to both candidates: That was probably the most high brow, intellectual debate I've seen ever (two years younger than Joseph if my math is correct.)
That said, yeah, Romney ran away with this one. At a few points Obama's body language approached Nixon/Kennedy levels of uncomfortable. Romney struck the right balance between aggressive and mean-spirited.
