Big Brother is watching--and he wants you to watch everyone else. Specifically white males in military garb who perform their terrorist acts in broad daylight in the most obvious manner possible.

This is absurd.

Apparently the vast majority of terrorists are white males. Who knew? Of the numerous examples of terrorism--and I use the term lightly--shown in the  video, only two gave even a slight indication that nonwhites are capable of such acts. In fact, Homeland made it clear that religion and race have nothing to do with terrorism. Fascinating.

If I was a terrorist--and according to the video, I fit the profile--I would be insulted. I personally have more respect for the terrorist's intelligence--not to mention that of my fellow citizens--than to believe the picture portrayed by Homeland.

The video is rife with examples of terrorists blithely going about their daily routines; taking videos of train schedules, dropping suspicious bags in public places, busily creating bombs in storage units with security guards close by. You know, the usual.

Is this really Homeland's vision of what terrorism looks like? White males building bombs in storage units?

The worst part in the video is when we are urged never to take action ourselves without first alerting the proper authorities. You know, the proper authorities like Homeland, or the TSA--which has never stopped a single terrorist act.

Presumably, if I'm on a flight and the Arabic fellow next to me starts trying to light his underwear on fire, I shouldn't blow out his match until I contact Homeland. Perish the thought.

I'm not one of the people who blindly cry "no freedom for security". I understand that I live in a fallen world where I must trade some of my freedom for protection. But, if this is the "security" that I'm getting, why did I give up anything for it?

This is what I took away from this appalling waste of taxpayer's money:

1. Our government is incapable or unwilling to seriously address terrorism

2. Political correctness hampers and neuters our ability to combat terrorism

3. Homeland's version of terrorism is not grounded in reality

4. Our government does not trust us to act as informed and capable individuals; nor do they want us to

I'm sorry, but this is absurd.

Gateway Pundit posted the DHS video this morning. There is very little chance of ever getting these people to change their tunes. They simply can't face the facts, not when politically correct alternatives allow them to lie and vindicate their inability to do much more than frisk old ladies at the airport. Profiling is a bridge too far. After all, the people actually caught attempting terrorism don't have much in common with each other.

Well, maybe something. Gateway's post does mention this:

last 24 months (2009 and 2010) 126 people were indicted on terrorist-related charges in the United States. All of them were Muslim.

Careful now, that last bit smacks of hate speech!

I wonder after the next big attack if we will finally demand that our government takes a commonsense approach to combating terrorism.

And here I thought the typical terrorist was an elderly woman in a wheel chair wearing an adult diaper.  Shows how little I know.

That is me they are talking about.  I dress every morning with a 45.  Sometimes I forget bags in the mall.  Often have conversations of an odd nature on my cellphone.  I feel so very dangerous right now.  You'll never spot me though so just call DHS whenever you see a white male, odds are high they're up to no good.  Forget the blood my relatives have had  spilled to protect our sacred freedom of this great country, now I think I'm headed to the darkside, or maybe PF Changs for lunch.  I'll have the sunglasses on, be very very careful people.

What we're really trying to say is the DHS investigators on Ricochet don't need to hide. Welcome! Introduce yourselves!

I'm half-joking.

They are more prescient than many concede.

The government’s terrorist is the citizen’s freedom fighter.

When parents refuse to shut down their children’s curbside lemonade stand, they have become the government’s terrorists and the citizens’ freedom fighters.

When automobilists refuse to submit to the reintroduction of Carter-era gasoline rationing, they will be the government’s terrorists and the citizens’ freedom fighters.

After that: light bulbs, then taxes.

The majority of the government’s terrorists will be white nationally because of our country’s demographics but the citizens' freedom fighters will be of all colors.

Yesterday i took a flight from San Francisco to Minneapolis. Happily there were no lines at security.  I visually scanned the security area and noticed they were running people through both the standard metal detectors and the naked X-ray vision machines.

Being an American accustomed to making my own choices and still possessing some personal pride and modesty, I got in line behind a young family to go through the standard metal detector.

No such luck.  The TSA officer barked at me and made a broad gesture to go to the other line, the one for naked X-ray vision machine.  I guess they are already implementing the lessons of this video.

After I was done getting my "junk" scoped out in the back room, as I began putting my shoes and belt back on, I observed a TSA agent informing the father of a six year old boy how he was about to run his hands all over the kid's body.  I felt ashamed for the father, who had to stand idly and watch a government agent mistreat his son, and for our country, which seems to be on an irreversible decline toward a security state.

Yes, us white boys are the only politically correct whipping boy for everything.

Consistent with the liberal model, instead of trying to inspire and elevate any group that seems to be lagging behind, they try to tear down anyone who seems to be doing relatively better.

This is one of the worst side effects of the whole "homeland security" push.  I don't deny they may have kept us somewhat safer (notice the number of qualifiers), but they've encroached upon so much of our privacy and freedoms in the process.

The other day I was opening a bank account, and was appalled by the amount of information they gather, and the regulations they have to comply with, as compared to just a few years ago.  The government seems to want to track every citizen and their financial details down to the level of just a few thousand dollars.

And the problem is-- even if we don't have any terrorist attacks for 30 years, they probably won't roll back those regulations.  Once the government has that kind of power, they won't let go of it so easily.

There would have been an outrage from the public if the government had tried to add this kind of regulatory burden prior to 9/11-- but now we just meekly submit.  How tragic.

I am saddened that we have lost our country. I don't know where to begin. It's gone. Goodbye America land of the free.

I think they are preparing for who they are targeting. In other words, they are attacking white male middle-class and therefore they have vague guilt feelings and expectations for retribution from same. They keep anticipating it. See Jared Loughner . See Tea Party reports. See charges of racism. They wish to create the world they claim exists, and they are doing it with government power. They know they are instigating and they expect a response.

Alternatively, they play down muslim connections to terrorism not inflame that sector (as though that helps) instead, they seek to inflame us white guys. This is an interesting strategy because a) they know white guys aren't really a threat and b) they hope to make us a threat. (Actually to many of these folks we are) That would put the world in order for them. Once the white guy is a terrorist, then we are all guilty and it absolves the ethic minorities of all guilt.

Their world-view is challenged and they must make it right.

They encourage reporting suspicious activity while being careful not to be swayed by "race, religion, or gender."

And We should all be relieved that law enforcement are "trained in trends, behaviors, and indicators related to specific terrorists' threats..." apparently disregarding "race, religion, or gender" too.

On the bright side I'm heartened to see that African-American men and overweight white women have achieved the social equality to be portrayed as terrorists.

Although I am deeply offended that TSA fails to include any LGBT terrorists.  In fact, this may be a violation of California law.  In the name of social justice I demand that Messers Epstien and Yoo petition the 9th Circuit.  Youtube should be forced to protect California residents from this video until TSA includes:

1) Sworn statements from a minimum of three of the actors that they experience physical attraction exclusively to members of their own gender.

2) A scene featuring a married gay couple disguised in black biker shorts ramming an explosive rigged tandem bicycle into a TSA checkpoint

2) A depiction of a bearded transgender human being in a woman's raincoat sneaking into both a men's room and a woman's room to plant a suspicious purse in each.

Nine years ago I was taking an old Marine fishing when he brought up the patriot act.  This man was at Pearl Harbor, Tarawa and Saipan and has earned the right to say whatever he pleases.  His comment was,"I sure as hell didn't kill all those men just to have my country spy on me"

Nor did he kill all those men just to have an unscrupulous media pervert the freedoms he helped preserve to repeat outright lies over and over until even our heroes begin to doubt the country they once sacrificed for.

Let's see if I have this correct: Muslim Brotherhood = freedom fighters; Hamas & Hezbollah = freedom fighters; Libyan opposition = freedom fighters; U.S. citizenTea Party members = right-wing extremists, presumptive terrorists if they are white males? This from the government agency charged with protecting the homeland? Priceless.
