Sick of the election we're currently embroiled in? Pining for simpler days? HBO has your back. Here's the full trailer for Game Change, which debuts next month. We'll give it this much: Ed Harris appears to have perfectly captured John McCain's "what the hell have I gotten myself into?" look. Oh, and The Guess Who's  American Woman is used to great effect as well. Other than that....meh. (Hint: click on the title of the post to view the trailer in HD.)

My wife just watched this trailer and said, "That was ugly," then turned and walked away in disgust. So far tonight I've seen this trash promoted at HotAir and here. I haven't looked but I'm sure it will be up at NRO soon if it isn't already.

Reminds me of one of the many reasons I cancelled HBO.  The day they do an accurate portrayal of our incompetent socialist in charge I might sign up again.  On a positive note, at least they did not hire that useless toad Tina Fey.

I know not everyone agrees, but Palin's career as a politician is done for a while. She's just not a serious potentital candidate. Speechifying, yes. Kingmaker, no.

Can we get a movie about just how horrible Obama has been and can this be out by mid October?

Supporting? On the contrary, Gus. I consider it a public service warning. You now have plenty of time to cancel your HBO subscription before the next billing cycle begins. You're welcome.

Plus, we're (almost) all going to be fighting together in the general. It's worth knowing the details of the slurs against us. Particularly for those of us who don't have HBO, I see Ricochet as being a valuable resource in this.

Oh I ditched HBO over a year ago. We're Netflix only now. I do miss their boxing coverage though. Especially Larry Merchant.

The striking thing to me is that the real Sarah Palin is far more attractive than either actress who's played Sarah Palin (Julianne Moore and Tina Fey).

Combined with the movie on Margaret Thatcher and the rerun of Newt splice-o-rama I'd say things are lining up against us pretty much as I expected. Is there a Barry Goldwater mini series in the works?

It's striking how petty the left is. The Palin story is, regardless if you like her or not, at the very least, an interesting one. A housewife from the most obscure backwater imaginable runs for the city council of her small town. Within a few years she becomes a political lightning rod in the most powerful nation in the world. A potentially compelling story.

But instead this film will just prove to be a cheap hatchet job.

Hollywood sucks eggs.

I agree, billy.    And may I say that I am sick and tired of this.  As I heard Ben Stein say to Neil Cavuto one afternoon during the Herman Cain anal exam, conservatives have had enough.  They are sick and tired of being pushed around.  Woody Harrelson?  Really?  What a discrete casting choice.  Gag me.

Funny how they DIDN'T mention that in the ad.

Harrelson in a movie about Palin and Streep in a movie about Thatcher. Am I the only one seeing a trend here?

I'm sure the plot points of the movie will pivot around the fact that Obama is not vetted by the press, and succeeds only because of gusty rhetoric

Hollywood really hates Sarah, don't they?  I take it no mention of the Clintons or their antics appear in the film.

Joseph Goebbels liked making biographical films about Jews, just like Hollywood likes making biographical films about Republicans.

Did HBO insert their now seemingly mandatory repulsive sex scene here? Do they feature Andrew Sullivan in his own heroic arc chasing down the real story of Trig's parenthood?

And I've taken my shots at McCain and his many reaches across the aisle, but I thought better of Ed Harris than this.

Maggots all.

Odd you should mention that.  Can't post it here (too much Language), but the curious can search youtube under Iron Sky Berlin.  Contra Ace of Spades, I think she'll be portrayed as a straight-up action heroine, fighting the Space Nazis.
There are a lot of Sarah admirers in the entertainment community.  Such style.  She speaks to them.  And if you're making a movie about fighting Space Nazis, what more exciting casting could you have than a President Palin, smashing the heel of her red peep-toe pump into the temple of some guy from the Waffen SS?
