Man that was good!  I have long felt that the best way to attack the means of production of a free market society was to attack the lifeblood of production, energy, and that is the true purpose of environmentalism.

The part with kids learning about global warming in school is definitely true. Not only did I watch An Inconvenient Truth in my science class, I was forced to watch The Day After Tomorrow as well.

Remember to point out this to anyone who mentions how Obama just needs more time. Nice video.

Excellent video....it could make a good TV ad series if it were shortened just a bit or maybe broken into segments to be run separately.

Yes.  Needs to be cut into pieces for wider distribution.

Brilliant, outstanding video.

Of course, the deeper issues -- which, if themselves not addressed, cast all desires to rectify the problems cited in the video beyond the distant shore of what's rectifiable -- would have to be summed up something like this:

"If I wanted America to fail, I would indoctrinate an entire generation of people -- even getting many conservatives and Ricochet editors to incline to the belief -- that those who think men and women are by nature different but complementary and hence should be taught different virtues, with the ultimate consequence that things like same-sex marriage are radically subversive of civility and the family . . . well, I would teach that these people are rubes and bigots."

Of course, it just doesn't ring that well in sound bites, cuz, well . . . it's close to impossible to counter-act the insinuations of nihilism into public thinking via faith in the "omnipotence of speech" or in sound-bites.

O put it this way: what the video essentially misses, despite its brilliance, is that liberals are at the forefront of the war against God and nature.

Where the degradation of our society and economy is most apparent is in degradation of the family.

Liberals still give Mr Limbaugh a hard time for wanting Mr Obama to fail - in spite of Rush making it clear that he wants Mr Obama to fail because he  want America to succeed.

Pretty simple, really - great video!

It is counterproductive and unnecessary to suggest that the left's policies are deliberately designed to ruin the the country. First, because it's not true. Second, it amounts to the demonization you yourself are complainjng about thereby making you a hypocrite. And lastly it is too much a negative, paranoid, conspiratorial, chicken little message. People don't like paranoid chicken littles. This video sounds like pure propoganda to normal people. All it does is level a bunch of accusations, it doesn't make arguments nor explain the issues to people who haven't paid a lot of attention. This is absolute preaching to the choir. We do that way too much.

Well, that just about sums it up!

After having lived in Europe for many years, all I can say is this is the exact strategy used in many of its countries. I haven´t been to all unfortunately, but this video reflects the standard mindset of all those that I am familiar with.. and life is not going well on this side of the Atlantic at all.

The video makes total sense to us because we are committed ideological conservatives.  I don't know how it will appeal, if at all, to non-ideological moderates.  And I'm quite sure it won't make a dent in the belief system of leftists.  One of the characteristics of conservatism is that it has to be realized by life's experiences.  It has to be internalized, or arrive like an epiphany.  This is why conservatives tend to be older and more established.  And why the ideological shift for most people is from left to right, but rarely the other way around.
