Or, speaking more broadly, there's not a damn thing worth watching.
Re: How The Republican Presidential Field Is Like The Prime Time TV Line Up
Oh Good Lord. What's up with that still shot? I look like some kind of zombie. Or, worse, a silent movie star.
I'm never at my best at 5AM.
Meanwhile, if you've ever wondered what the inside of the studio looks like, I took these from my iPhone:

What a hoot! In some cases, I would have picked zombie movies.

Romney seems more like Leave It To Beaver.
What we need is Norm from Cheers, someone who will drink his beer and go home.

I like the "House" comparison -- JDAM Syria and see if it works; send the Marines into Gaza; maybe nuke Iran. It's all getting at the same problem, anyway...

Rob Long: A man with a face meant for podcasts. I'm kidding, I'm kidding . . . as always, good job, Rob.

I'm left wondering what Rob was going to say at the end of his segment when he took a deep breath, puffed out his cheeks, and his eyes got really big. Doggone time limits.
Re: How The Republican Presidential Field Is Like The Prime Time TV Line Up
That was awesome.

Truly a well delivered segment, Rob.
I am always amazed how clearly and calmly you pundits speak on camera. I mean, don't you get nervous - at all?!

Are we sure Ron Paul isn't a show on the Cartoon Network?
Re: How The Republican Presidential Field Is Like The Prime Time TV Line Up
Newt as Larry David?!?! Rob, you've made my day.
Re: How The Republican Presidential Field Is Like The Prime Time TV Line Up
Pretty sure it's "Aqua Teen Hunger Force", Pat. It makes a lot more sense when marijuana's involved.

So in this analogy, what's on Telemundo?

You had the presence of mind to put a hankie in your jacket pocket? At five in the morning?
I thought I knew you. But no. I am in awe anew.

OK, I have been composing this response for HOURS, (not that it will read like it). In my mind, Hollywood/Entertainment/Media/News is sparkling glamour. And then you show the bare bones - a stark set filled with mundane household articles. I still think back to my dad, and me as a wide eyed kid saying - "you actually diagnose cancer!!" - he just gave me a sanguine look and said "it's just a job"

I was wondering what show you'd link to Mitch Daniels. I'm going with Modern Family. I mean, here's a guy who's quirky, laughs at himself, is smarter than he looks, and is quite broad-minded, though usually with a moral in mind. No?
