Daniel Lobera, of South Elementary School in Lander, Wyoming, practices, before members of his church, his presentation for the National History Day Contest.  Daniel only just graduated from sixth grade, but I offer this video for all the college students who will graduate this month in total ignorance of the events Daniel so neatly describes.

Wow....haven't even watched the whole thing and realize this 6th grader could run circles around my 14 year old son in a forensics contest.

I will show it to him later to get his reaction.   What a poised young man!

We now know that accurate history and not "revised" history is being taught in at least one school in America.  I did notice the state he's from doesn't contain many of our liberal friends.  Unless you count Jackson.  Being from Wyoming myself, I don't.

His parents should be proud.  Not only does Daniel have his facts right, he has the poise and principles to express them unapologetically.  Were it that there were more like him

Thanks for posting this Peter.

Very interesting. I love this boy's parents for knowing so much and for teaching it to him. Though I do see his parents behind him, it is clear that he understands very well what he's saying. There is much subtlety in his presentation of the facts, too. Artfully written piece.
