Hope + Change = Despair

According to this report, consumer confidence has dropped to it's lowest level in 31 years. According to the summary, consumer sentiment dropped from a pre-recession average of 87 to a new low of 54.9, a level not seen since May 1980.
May 1980? Yet more proof that BHO is morphing into Jimmy Carter.

I believe their is a governing soul, that dies and reincarnates over the course of administrations. The things we thought were exercised out of the White House by Reagan are apparently returning.
I just hope that the public is conscious enough to realize that we are not "the one's we've been waiting for," but the same one's who ignored the same history, and are making the same mistakes.

As the Instapundit is fond of saying, at this point Jimmy Carter is the best case scenario. The worst case is a second term of him, from which the country may never recover.
Mr Obama is the furthest-left president the country has ever had, and arguably the furthest-left western leader. Only the US Constitution has saved the country from a Liberal Fascist (a la Jonah Goldberg) dictatorship, and it is far from certain at this point how things will turn out.
It still amazes me that Ryan/Rubio don't see the need for the strongest possible Republican candidates in this election cycle - not the next, when it may be too late.

Seems like in the 1970s or earlier a Republican party boss would put his arm around Ryan, tell him his wife would be very happy and get whatever she wanted and family life would be good, but it was imperative he run for president.
