Sang Mary Lou Lord. However, she did not say what to do in the case that the lights have gone green.

So I don't know what exactly do to, but I can report one of our Ricocheteers-in-Chief has done got green lit.

Congrats, Rob!

I love Mary Lou Lord! Especially her covers of Richard Thompson's Beeswing and Vincent Black Lightning 1952.

Good luck, Rob!

From the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette:

"The primary appeal is that it's just wonderful writing," said TBS executive vice president and head of programming Michael Wright in an interview last fall around the time the "Sullivan" pilot was filmed in Los Angeles, where the series will be produced.

"'Sullivan and Son' you can't compare to anything. 'Cheers' comes up because it was a comedy set in a bar, one of the best of all time, but I would hesitate to make the comparison only in the sense that it has the appeal of a place you want to go and it takes place with recognizable folks from your town."

"Sullivan and Son" is executive-produced by Vince Vaughn ("Wedding Crashers"), Peter Billingsley ("A Christmas Story") and Rob Long ("Cheers").

Vince Vaughn? Isn't he John Yoo's stunt double in Law Talk?

And can anyone explain this?

Evidence

Congrats Rob. Many pilots are called, few are flown home.

Congratulations! At least, I gather that is what is in order.  Perhaps a translation of the original post would be helpful, for those of us who don't speak Hollywood?

Rob produced a sitcom pilot last a few months ago. Tonight Turner Broadcasting picked it up.

Vince Vaughn is a funny guy. I recall reading that he once showed up to a meeting of conservatives and was shooed away because no one believed he was conservative. It turns out he's a Ron Paul fan.

We could use more comedians on Ricochet... and Ron Paul fans.

Thanks.  That's what I thought, but the clarification is appreciated, and I will look forward to watching it.

You mean the Ron Paul fans aren't all comedians?

Ron Paul fans are conservative?  Huh.  I thought they were druggies.

I kid!  I kid!

Hot in Cleveland, plays up all the localisms for Northeast Ohio. I can't wait for Rob to do the same for Pittsburgh.

I can see him trying to hire Teresa Heinz Kerry to drop by after her limo breaks down outside of Sullivan and Son's...

Congrats Rob, I'm sure this is well deserved!

I hope this will be available online somewhere, I doubt it will be on Japanese TV anytime soon!

My only complaint is that Vince Vaughn is producing and not starring in this show. Sorry... still digging that performance in WC!!

Congrats Rob!

Vince Vaughn grew up in my hometown. I'm sure Pittsburgh is great and all, but why not Chicago, Vince?

Of course we'll watch the show.  Why? Because we know one of the producers who is a personal friend.

Congratulations, Rob!
