I'll be in New York next week, anyone feel like meeting me? Let's not do something boring like going out for a drink, though. Let's go to the Planetarium, or the Central Park Zoo. Or the Museum of Natural History--I love that.

Next week I am available Monday only. Waaaaahhhhhh! Tuesday: seriously important basketball game tickets in Hartford. Wednesday morning: Mr. S is dragging me to California, but I'll be back Saturday if you're still around....

Kevin, there are a bunch of us in the NYC area, so don't be afraid! I, for one, love any kind of get-together. Rico-soirées are especially fun in New York. Conservatives! In Manhattan!

I know. It just seems so wrong. The 2004 Republican Convention bar night arranged by National Review Online was epic. The link below has some pictures from someone's blog. I can be seen, Waldo-like, in the background of one of the pics (the one with Roger Simon wearing a hat).

Because Claire has written a book about Margaret Thatcher, and New York Post film critic and columnist (and Ricochet sort-of-contributor) Kyle Smith has been championing the biopic "The Iron Lady", I thought I would invite Kyle to join our get together and meet Claire. His response:
"Sure. Would love to meet her."
Actually, I confess that my invitation was to "join us for a drink or two". So that's all the more reason to follow up the wholesome activity with the less-wholesome.
